Here is a link to McGruffs backup board if Free Republic is down click here which hasn't been happening much lately thanks to the fine work of the FR team.
I can absolutely believe that.
BTW, listening to Bill Bennett this morning, I learned that he tried to persuade Colin Powell to run for president. That was either a serious misjudgement OR he saw that there wasn't going to be a place for him in a Bush administration and Bill really likes to see himself as a player.
David Gregory on TODAY tells Meredith V how things will change (if) (when) Democrats take over. " A democratic take over may come down to 2 words, "supoena power". Chuck Todd says Bush's numbers will go over 50 by July, if Pelosi takes over the House.
Oh Lord! Tom Brokaw is shown doing an interview with Arnold Swartz. Give it up Brokaw!! Brokaw and Bill Clinon just don't know how to leave the stage.
That's why I didn't even bother to turn Imus on.
There were so many campaign ads on local TV this morning I was frantically switching channels trying to find some actual news.
Fox and Friends show some outtake of Michael J. Fox and the Perky One last night. They had some much Vaseline on the lens I couldn't understand the conversation.
Apparently rerunning outtakes from her "news" program is the only way she is going to get any viewers.
Miklaszewski admits that his comment that the Iraqi security forces haven't met any of their benchmarks was false, but he is still mad at Rummy for pointing it out. He also says that James Baker's Iraq Study Group is nothing more than a way to find a graceful way out of Iraq. I am hoping our "Decider" pats Baker on the head and sends him home. He can even give him some award or other if he wants.
I heard some of Bill this morning...
He has changed quit a bit, IMHO....since he went to work for CNN.
I really don't like him much anymore.
He was also pretty much saying that Webb's books are not relevant to the election....what he wrote is not indicative of how he would be a Senator.
Read some of the comments on this thread. People do not like this sort of writing and they will not think well of Webb. (I, too, do not like Bennett as much as I thought I did, for a number of reasons.)
Helps if I give you the link:

Bah....I heard Mark Levin reading some of the passages from the book .....and even the part he COULD read on the air, disgusted me.
(I have read my share of romance novels in the past...some were a bit racy, but even the parts I heard Levin read were SO much more graphic, than I have read....I was disgusted).
Also...didn't Mark Fuhrman get "impeached" as a witness in the OJ trial because of a "novel" he wrote, using the "n" word in it??
Fox: I Was Over-Medicated In Stem Cell Ad ^ |

Posted by COUNTrecount On 10/27/2006 9:06:59 AM EDT CBS News ^ | Oct. 26, 2006 CBS News Exclusive: Parkinson's-Afflicted Actor Tells Katie Couric He Wasn't Acting In Ad Responding to criticism by conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh, actor Michael J. Fox defended his appearance in a political campaign ad, saying he wasn't acting or off his medication. In fact, at the time he was over-medicated for his Parkinson's disease, Fox said Thursday in an exclusive interview with CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric. "The irony is that I was too medicated. I was dyskinesic," Fox told Couric. "Because the thing about being symptomatic is that it's not comfortable. No one wants to be symptomatic; it's... |
I can't remember if he used it in a novel or admitted to having used the term, but he was certainly pilloried over it.
Mike Viquera, MSNBC's reporter in charge of keeping Foleygate alive is still getting plenty of airtime, if only to say, "we don't know what's going on behind the closed doors of the Ethics Committee. "
His segments are labeled, "DECISION 2006: X-Rated Emails"
Lynn Cheney was fabulous today on CNN. She may have invented "Bitch slapping", and I bet Wolf Blitzer wishes she hadn't. It was great television.
But Chris Matthews? He's truely disgusting now, in full attack mode against all Republican candidates, no holds barred, and with no attempt to disguise his bias.
Lynn Cheney knocked Wolfie to the floor and then wiped it up with him. I used to watch Matthews, but it just became impossible. Any report on tidbits will be appreciated, but I need the filter.
Matthews is easier to take by just reading the transcripts

Thanks, can't get sprayed on reading a transcript.
This ad is fabulous! I got it in email

Oh my. LOL. Of course she is doing so badly that Dan should just save his ammunition and wait for her to self-destruct.
I've seen this ad on the news shows. It is indeed powerful. I will be so glad when Tuesday night comes and we have the results.
