I think you should phone him about this :)
Since Richard Engel reports to Imus from Iraq, I thought we should have this bit of insight:
NBC's Baghdad Reporter: I'm A Pacifist, War Should Be Outlawed (What a Buffoon)
NewsBusters ^ | 10/26/2006 | Tim Graham
Thursday's Howard Kurtz profile of NBC Baghdad correspondent Richard Engel in the Washington Post has a real clash of perspectives. First, NBC anchor Brian Williams claimed Engel "is the most agenda-less person I've met in our business." Then Engel declared "I think war should be illegal...I'm basically a pacifist." The story included no critics of Engel's reporting, but praise from Williams and CBS colleague Lara Logan, and Engel's mother.

Yep, David Schuster on HARDBALL, ominiously mentioned the "jungle drums".
He listed quite a few mean ads, going way back, but no mention of the 2004 truck dragging ad.
LOL. He has just become a parody.
The President didn't pick up his cell phone!!!!
Called into work, had to get two new tires. Then on the drive home, all N/S roads over I-696 were blocked!!!
If President Bush comes to Detroit again, I'm going to vote Libertarian!!!!
Well, at least get to watch the Detroit/St. Louis game. Go Puttie Cats!!!!
Oh no, we need to talk :)
I should have put, finish off, too tired, good night.
Morning ping. It seems that the crew is about to discuss the senate race in Virginia and the incredibly smutty writings of one of the candidates. Hint: it isn't George Allen.
To make the morning even more obscene, the guests listed are Paul "The Forehead" Begala and Senator Chris Dodd.
Oh dear, me thinks that Jim Webb should just withdraw from the race today. He has serious mental problems.
I bet when Webb loses he won't be able to give a concession speech. I think he will be enraged and will tell the voters to go ***** themselves.
I am very glad that Webb is no longer in our party. Sec. of the Navy. What were people thinking!
I think Imus sees the Texas governership and the Tennessee Senate seat slipping away. *chuckle*
Wonder what Chris Dodd will have to say about Lieberman? Slithering weasel words, I'm sure...but I hope Lieberman is already planning how he's going to extract revenge on the Democrats who threw him under the bus.
Dang, I missed the part about Imus moving over to CNBC. I'll have to find out where that is on my Comcast lineup
And I hope he does it behind the scenes and that they never see it coming. Even cynical old me was astounded at the way they treated him.
WHAT? I obviously missed it too.
I Know I heard Dr. Phil say Imus was moving to CNBC....but maybe that was a joke. We'll find out if this is true, soon enough won't we? Including no doubt, with a positive spin included.
LOL as Imus makes mincemeat of McCain's blurb on the back of Webb's book.
Begala repeats the nonsensical business about George Allen cutting off the head of a deer and stuffing it in a mailbox. He is such a creep.
I found this at Radioink, dated 27 Oct:
"No Return To 30 Rock For Imus
When the gang at MSNBC leave their New Jersey headquarters for NBC News HQ across the River at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan as part of NBCs blockbuster restructuring deal announced last week syndicated radio & TV morning man Don Imus will stay behind in New Jersey and work out of CNBC. And Imus isnt even an NBC employee. He and his staff actually work for CBS Radio.
But Imus and his sidekick / newscaster Charles McCord do have an NBC connection, having gained fame at 30 Rock in the 70s and 80s as part of the late WNBC Radio. When NBC sold their 660 AM frequency in the late 80s, the Imus show stayed at what became his flagship, All-Sports WFAN, now owned by CBS. So a return to NBCs midtown Manhattan headquarters wouldve represented a MacArthur-like return to some in the radio industry.
But as for where he actually does his show, Imus himself said it really doesnt matter. On Fridays broadcast, the legendary morning man announced that he and McCord would be relocating to CNBC and said of their move to Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey: I get in the car. It starts moving. When it stops I get out and do the show."
