Having endorsed Charlie in the primary, I know they won't revoke support in the general. At worst, they'll endorse both. But also knowing the platform of the democratic party in reference to guns and their track record voting in the state on the issue, I seriously doubt that Any dem will get their endorsement when it comes to any level executive office. They may endorse a RAT in a Congressional election like they did with Zell Miller of Georgia...that's strategy for a long term legislative goal at the federal level.
This Tom Gallagher?
http://www.sptimes.com/2005/07/03/State/Meet_the_new_Tom_Gall.shtml
Apparently he's a latecomer to "real" conservatism.
You do have a point, but did you read the rest of my my post, friend?
Gallagher is pro-2nd amendment: http://www.angelfire.com/biz4/davidosborne/SECOND_20AMENDMENT.pdf
Gallagher said he would support HB-129 (Lawful ownership, possession & use of firearms and other weapons) while Crist said he was still deciding. (Crist is not very decisive, is he?)
Gallagher is pro-life, and was endorsed by Dr. Dobson and the FL Right-to-Life.
Gallagher wants to drill offshore of Florida. Crist does not.
Gallagher wants to protect our borders, and is against amnesty for illegals.
In one of the debates, TOM GALLAGHER said he is AGAINST AMNESTY for illegal aliens and said that Florida's Sen.Immigration Bill S.2611 would cost $50 billion, and he against this bill and wants to protecting out borders.
TOM GALLAGHER said that his oppenent candidate CHARLIE CRIST is FOR AMNESTY & FOR Florida's Sen. Immigration BILL# S.2611 and said that CHARLIE CRIST claims it is not an amnesty bill because CRIST says that the Senate Bill is for EARNED LEGALIZATION (for illegal aliens).
Earned legalization = AMNESTY
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT THE SENATE IMMIGRATION PLAN:
The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 (S.2611)
needs significant changes before it represents the comprehensive approach required to dramatically and permanently decrease illegal border crossing and unlawful presence in the United States
Deterrence is an essential component of security, but the Senate plan would undermine deterrence. Provisions in the bill provide for the legalization of individuals unlawfully present in the United States for over five years. This amounts to a grant of amnesty to millions. (The Heritage Foundation "Senate Immigration Plan Fails to Deliver Comprehensive Border Security" by James Jay Carafano, 05/16/06)
Many conservatives are endorsing Gallagher for a reason.
Who's heating up the tar!? ;-)
I'll vote later.....but will have to hold my nose on almost all votes.
But let's face it...he has changed for each election.....I don't think I trust him.....but will vote for him over that teacher tax lovin Crist who will no doubt bring us a state tax.
That's being very selfish ....
Crist wants the teacher class size amendment enforced. His whole family and life is about TEACHERS. He wants more money for them...more schools...THUS MORE TAXES. You can bet we will have a state tax.
MY Prediction..
McBride 41
Harris 40
Oh I can't tell you how much I hope this happens. Man that would just put so much energy into the Senate Race. If your prediction happens - We will win the Senate Race in November NO DOUBTS!!!!! If the numbers switch and Harris wins - We will lose the seat!!!!! I am really routing for your prediction to win!!!!!!
p.s. I provided the Bush/Harris points data you requested on the other thread. I see it didn't agree with your agenda, so you ignored it. Shame.
Just got back from voting for Gallagher and Harris. Later this week I'll go to the Republican party office and volunteer my services.
bookmark for later.........going to vote @ 5 this afternoon.
Great news! We'll GOTV for the conservative candidates! I'll be waving signs with Harris this afternoon.
Turnout in Brevard county is very light.
I am not sure what the percentage is.. but a LOT of folks to early voting.... Looking forward to the results tonight !!
