Why are children expected to put up with abuse that would earn an adult millions in court, if it occurred at work?

Children cannot always defend themselves, that is why it is up to the responsible adult to make sure that the abuse is dealt with in a fair way.

If the adult offers no help, the child is stuck until the abuse gets so bad that something traumatic can happen.

I can't help but wonder myself when someone says that their child was struck, beaten down, or bullied over and over again why the parent didn't walk into the nearest police station and have the matter brought to court and let a judge decide--not the principal. The principal is not the judge and jury although some may think that of themselves. They are bound to the law just like you or I.

So, why DO parents allow principals to have the last word?

I attended free Catholic parochial schools until the 10th grade.

Yes, the nuns did run an orderly classroom and we were always supervised, even in the restrooms, however, bullies and alpha-girls are Aces at flying under the radar and landing their cruel bombs. Thankfully, I was never their target, but, sadly, other children were their victims.

It is my opinion, that bullying is a symptom of the prison-like, age-segregated, herd mentality that afflicts all traditional schools ( private and government).

It is child abuse for the victim to suffer this torment.
It is child abuse for the non-victims to witness it.
It is child abuse for the perpetrator to have been placed in this situation that would allow it.

Humans are resilient, and most children overcome this toxic socialization. It is sad, but some never do, and are emotionally crippled all their lives.

Both were Catholic Schools. There are very few nuns teaching in them nowadays, so that level of control is not there anymore.

It seems liberals are already running the social services agencies that are in charge of investigating neglect and abuse.
Needless to say....they aren't run very well, as is to be expected from a group run by liberals.
