When Tony Snow comes to Bush Team, what will he do after Bush is out of question. If anything, he will do better & W will help in whatever he wanted to.

W felt Tony Snow was let go out of Bush 41 admn. unfairly as 43 was watching the events unfold. As 43 is correcting whatever mistakes were made in 41's time Tony Snow was welcomed & joined the 43 team. This was discussed in a private list some time ago.

Political winners don't worry about what their foes are doing, the focus on what THEY are going to do to their foes. The Conservative Movement USE to understand this rule but since 09-11 they seem to have lost that ability to stay on offense.

Thank you, anita.

Hi snugs! I think this is why he did not seriously run. He realizes the right will not support him other than being a bit player to support conservatives. It was a PR move to appoint him as Secretary of State, and that's the closest he will ever get to the Oval Office. It's the same fate McCain has, although in McCain's case he does learn from past mistakes.

I do not think I have ever seen a panel guest on any of these shows as blindingly dumb as Elisabeth Bumiller. She would do well on Chrissy Matthews' show where she would be encouraged in her attempt to still find some "grey area" in the Plamegate nonsense.

what's a "dastardly act"?

Perhaps Mike Savage's good buddy Chuckie Shumer can explain why having his staffers illegally try to get a Republican Senator Candidate Credit Report was NOT a "dastardly act"?

#161, is it just me or is there a pattern with Fitzgerald doing too much spreading himself and his ego too thin? It seems to me I have heard his name bandied about in several Prosecutions like the Corruption in City of Chicago, State of Illinois and other places. I am wondering if the Dirty Dems did not see this as killing two birds with one stone. If Fitzgerald stayed with this phony case while doing all the others, then he falls on his face on this case (after the damage is already done to the GOP and White House),he then could be criticized and have all the other cases tainted by his overzealous, blown way out of proportion waste of taxpayer dollars. This stupidity on his part could maybe taint all his other cases and have a smart Lawyer looking to have the charges against their clients dropped. The DUmmieRats have used him and now they are free to abuse him, and we know they will to get their Pond Scum off the hook.

I'm not so sure. IIRC, McCain has hired Armitage onto his team.

On Fox, Brit sums it up for me. He says the scorned players in Plamegate should be the media members who continued to give credence to Joe Wilson long after he had been discredited by a senate intelligence committee.

The only thing wrong...Brit didn't name the sorry bastards.

The real question should be, "How could we not take down Saddam's regime after 9/11?" We were already bombing Iraq daily for almost a decade in enforcing the no-fly zones. Saddam had provided suppport and sancturary to terrorists including AQ. He had used WMD against Iran and the Kurds. He had invaded two of his neighbors.

There are 23 reasons why we went into Iraq and they are contained in Text of Joint Resolution On Iraq Passed By The United States Congress, which was passed 296-133 by the House of Representatives and 77-23 by the Senate on October 10 and 11, 2002. WMD was not the only reason we went into Iraq.

I like Joe DiGeneva too. But, I cannot think of anyone who has had more success than Levin. Levin is a braggard and abrasive, but he's effective.

###### Brian Williams tries his grand-standing with the President & Secret Service returns the favor. [They did not allow him for more than 1 hour to enter his hotel room because President was in the restaurant].

I read Brian Williams' blog with my jaw on the ground. What an absolute piece of selective memory. I stood next to the guy as he made the same [female dog] about Clinton during the DNC 2000 in Los Angeles. And not just the hotel; outside Paramount, we were held, standing on a street corner, while Clinton made his 'movement.' The cluster was press, delegates from the convention and two members of congress and we were held there for well over thirty minutes. But in this case, it wasn't the movement of the cigar lover himself, but rather his vehicle, as he had already arrived and was talking to Greyout at the time.

The selective memory of the press is just absolutely insane.
