Another prelude to their eventual nuclear test. This is like watching a much-hyped prize fight. Endless preludes before the main event.

Well, if it's a prize fight Mini-Me wants I hope he doesn't mind being turned into the equivalent of a human pretzel...

What on earth do they think they're proving by managing to hit the water with Scuds? Even the Rodong - known in the South as the Nodong (pause for obligatory cheap humor but it's true) is old technology and neither is suitable as a delivery platform for nuclear weapons.

If they want to antagonize the Japanese this is the way to do it. I really wouldn't recommend that.

What will we do this time? Say it is "unhelpful?" I understand there are no easy or "safe" ways to deal harshly with them (as Seoul is so close), still it is exasperating.

As I have said and guessed a number of times here on FR, it would not be August 22nd (as some had theorized with the Iran President 'Tom' and the prophet down the well thing), however I believe it will be September 11th, 2006 for obvious PR and anti-USA reasons. Kim Jong il will most likely choose this day--as he did July 4th, 2006/Shuttle Launch, to wipe it in the face of the United States and perform nuke psy war for max effect. Problem is, he will get the attention, but not the kind he really seeks, IMHO.

My back prediction date is September 14th late evening, or the previous day, Korean Time--timed about the time Roh arrives at Andrews AB, or commences his South Lawn address.

Iran's tyrants are well aware the stall game Saddam played through the UN will not function this time around. Could it be Iran and the other cohorts in the Axis of Evil have already planned numerous diversionary attacks around the globe including North Korea as well as Venezuela - when their vicious anti-Western comrades in Iran & Syria are finally confronted?

Conservative South Koreans are America's allies.

Protesters hold a large South Korean flag at an anti-North Korea, anti-President Roh Moo-hyun and pro-U.S. rally in Seoul, September 2nd, 2006. Protesters from various conservative civic groups demanded that South Korean government stop asking for transfer of wartime command of South Korean troops from the U.S. to South Korea. Satellite image from DigitalGlobe collected on June 29th, 2006 shows No Dong, North Korea, the area where a Taepodong missile facility is located. North Korea may be preparing for another missile test, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported on Sunday, but a government official in Seoul discounted the report. REUTERS/DigitalGlobe

Stupid is as stupid does. North Korea is upset that Iran is getting all our attention. Thank God for Ronald Reagan, Star Wars, George W. Bush and missile defense.
