PHOENIX - An Army investigator has recommended the death penalty for four soldiers accused of murder during a raid in Iraq.
Lt. Col. James P. Daniel Jr. made the recommendation in report obtained Saturday by The Associated Press.
Daniel found several aggravating factors that warrant a sentence of death in the case of four soldiers accused of killing three men during the May raid in the Salahuddin province.
Who is the "Kitchner" in this?
I dont know.....that has yet to be determined, but most likely some General staff officer who Grad from the " Point" and is looking to make a name for himself in Civilian life after his service is done.
> If they are guilty of what was originally charged, then execute away.
Context please, somebody? Would somebody please point me at the story? Who, what, why, when, and how???
American soldiers are not typically murderers. This must be an extraordinary tale!!!
Guidance, please?
*DieHard*
Do those who keep posting that these soldiers deserve death not know that the ones making the accusations (Iraqi's) might have lied? Is that not a possibility? My son is serving in Baghdad now. I know my son well. He has a love of life that led him to want to stop those who kill others without just cause. God forbid if he were to get caught up in accusations by people who are willing to kill anyone in their way for their own benefit. Our soldiers have been tasked with doing a very horrible job. They have been expected to follow orders without question. They have been placed in the position of seeing the very worst of human evil. Considering what we have asked them to do, I say they deserve the same right of innocent until proven guilty that we expect here at home. Let's not rush to judgement against that which we don't have the full story as yet.
Sorry, but I thought the case was about the rape, murder, with the GI that was discharged for mental instability even before the case came to light.
Evidently this case is about a different operation that happened, I've tried to google what the accusations are and I can't find anything.
Thats the same for police departments all across America as well - Litigation Nation.
Squat, your posts are obnoxious without the red font.
Just what I was going to say, nor any death for treason like those good old boys at the NY Times.
Before jumping to a conclusion to put our troops to death, two posts from where you were responding you could have read the background on this story.
So much for troop support, eh?
May the blessings of St. Michael surround your son on this tour +
What is the background on this story?
And please no more attacks.
Then you surely don't want to read this one.
I checked, and there wasn't a full moon.
It turns out you are a little weird.
I read many of your previous posts and little meaningless snippets is what you do.
Don't worry Dad, those posters are not representative of FR or America. They are trolls planted here to stir up trouble and assist the anti-American left.
Welcome to FR, if I didn't tell you that when we "spoke" before. As you spend more time here, you will be able to spot them. May God bless and protect you and yours.
And ALL of this started with Murtha's (Joe Blow) mouth.
Al-Murthawi began his "cut-n-run, bring them home NOW" tour on November 18, 2005.
The Haditha "they killed innocent civilians in cold blood" incident took place on November 19, 2005.
On May 17, 2006 al-Murthawi (aka prosecutor, judge, jury and exectutioner-PJJE for short) condemned the Marines "allegedly" involved in the Haditha incident to death by saying "they killed innocent civilians in cold blood."
Were there any other charges brought against any of our troops prior to that which I outlined above? Connect the dots.
Then it has served it's intended purpose.
As I said, it is two posts from where you jumped to your conclusion.
