A vote against the republicans either for a dem or in default by not voting period is a vote against anything happening good for the conservative movement.

If a Republican knows he has your vote no matter what because of the R after his name, why would he care what you think?

and a democrat is going to do better.

Work for change in 08 and a better candidate. Heck maybe run yourself.

My husband has been approached about running. He is thinking about it for 08.

My main point is a RINO is better than a dem any day.

Agreed. Ashamed, I know the next few weeks are going to be difficult for you, but be not afraid, it will (probably) be ok in the end. I don't think the demogoguing demorats are going to take ANYTHING. But we can't be letting the linguini-spined pubies know that, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

It is a conundrum, isn't it? But what's the solution? It isn't voting for a Dem or a libertarian/independent [except in very special circumstances]. The solution isn't not voting, either. What is it, then?

They do care because the LIKE their jobs. Republicans have a total volunteer get out the vote effort. It is not the same as the paid volunteers of democrats.

Republicans are not the NAACP.

Bingo. Every time RINOs get elected, they know they no longer have to give a tinker's damn about what conservatives want. So they act just like Democrats; raising taxes, passing even more anti-gun and anti-business laws, et cetera. At the most, they'll occasionally throw us a meaningless bone around election time.

No more. Never again.

I say it's time for all those self-described "Republican" RINO-supporters to stop demanding we conservatives support RINOs. I say it's time for those "Republicans" (sic) to start throwing their support to conservative candidates for a change.

Bottom line: I've had enough of these RINO-supporting clowns claiming they're conservative while insisting that conservatives can't get elected. They either need to buck up and support the conservative cause or switch parties.

I'm not sure why there are so many out there who don't get this one small, but very important point.

that is irrelevant to the discussion.

The discussion is about the lesser evil. If you don't assure the lesser evil then you do assure the greater evil.

By aiding the greater evil, you become the evil.

Your failure to act in a relative positive manner results in a negative action. Your belligerent insistance on your way or no way becomes in the end evil.

A voter should go for the R in the main election and seek changes only in the primaries before the main election.

The problem I have with the protest votes in the main elections is Ross Perot and how that gave us 8 years of Clinton.

We don't need that.
