ALLENWOOD (PA)— Union County prosecutors have filed an attempted homicide charge against a Media man accused of shooting a pistol at a family that had stopped at his gas station to change a baby’s diaper.
The Union County district attorney’s office will be adding the charge against Sudhir Kumar, 44. A preliminary hearing for him was postponed from Thursday in Lewisburg.
He was charged by state police at Milton with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering other people June 20 at the 24/7 Truck Stop Fuel Food Market along Route 15 at Allenwood.
He allegedly fired a shot from a pistol at Nolan Proctor, Tara Proctor, 7-month-old Kylee Kimler, Michael Kimler and Troy Matty. According to the charges, Mr. Proctor, 21, his sister, her child, fiance and a friend were driving north when the child’s diaper needed changing. They pulled the vehicle into the parking lot of 24/7 and the child’s parents began to change the diaper.
He said Mr. Kumar approached them and asked them to stay away from a flower bed they parked near. He told them there were wires in the flower bed and he asked them to leave, according to the charges. Mr. Proctor said Mr. Kumar went into the store, came back out when one of the group tried to throw the diaper in a trash can and became angry telling them to put the diaper in the can and leave. He returned to the store with a pen and paper and wrote down their vehicle license plate number.
Mr. Proctor and Mr. Kumar argued, prompting Mr. Kumar to go back into the store and come out with a pistol. He fire one shot in the group’s general direction, according to the charges.
Mr. Kumar told them to leave or he would shoot all of them, according to the charges. Mr. Proctor told police they left after that and called police from a location about one-half mile away.
Something tells me there's a bit more to this story. Store managers just don't wave their guns at people with a baby..I don't care what the guy's name is. I'd like to know the whole story.

Whoa! That lady lived two houses down from me when that happened. You got the story straight except that he actually struck her vehicle with his as he tried to stop her. He was arrested when he chased her into Good Hope Hospital ER in Erwin, NC. Small forum, LOL.
One of my greatest fears is that all these towel heads who own gas stations (and there are many here in CA) will someday blow them all up.
