Tom Gallagher, CFO and Republican Candidate for Governor, today received the endorsement of Senator Dan Webster of Winter Garden at the First Life Center for Pregnancy at First Baptist Church in Orlando.
"I was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1980, the same year Ronald Reagan was elected president. Ronald Reagan endorsed me I knew Ronald Reagan - and Tom Gallagher is the only candidate for Governor who represents Ronald Reagan's conservative values, and the best person to lead our party and our state. After a lot of thoughtful deliberation, and after the recent debates and all the information I have studied during the course of this campaign, I am proud to endorse Tom today and announce that me, my family and everyone who I can motivate between now and Election Day will be voting for Tom Gallagher, and we ask all Republicans to do the same and elect the conservative we can count on," said Senator Webster.
Senator Webster is the second highest ranking Republican in the Florida Senate, serving as the Majority Leader. Through his years in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate, including serving as Speaker of the Florida House, he has been a champion for conservative causes. He has been a leading advocate for small businesses, families, and educational choice and was one of the first advocates for home schooling. In addition, as a businessman, he has been a leader with Jeb Bush in civil justice reform which will save millions of dollars for the small businesses of Florida.
This endorsement means a lot. Dan Webster has been a leader, a mentor, and a friend to Floridas leaders over the past 25 years, said Tom Gallagher. Together we will lead the state of Florida with the true values and principles of the Republican Party and preserve the legacy of Jeb Bush.
Gallaghers clear and conservative policy proposals to expand and improve upon the achievements of Jeb Bush have won him the endorsement of Florida Right to Life, Dr. James Dobson, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Congressman Dave Weldon, M.D., former Republican Governor Bob Martinez, the three immediate past-chairs of the Republican Party of Florida Al Cardenas, Tom Slade, and Van Poole, more than 80 Republican elected officials, 650 conservative community leaders, and more than 3000 grassroots volunteer team leaders.
I haven't googled him with the AARP lately but he's a member and just in time for the election.
"Have you people no sense of decency? I know you are entrenched in the political system and want your guy to win, but can we avoid attacking the faith of TG. The truth about his record is that he has a 100% pro-life voting record. Whenever he has been asked to vote on abortion, he's not only voted pro-life but he's been a leader. You people indeed have no sense of decency. You have know sense of forgiveness. You have no respect for people of faith. And you are well fit among Charlie Crist's campaign, a campaign who considers evangelicals a nusiance rather than a constituency. So, go ahead and attack his faith some more, while you fail to explain Charlie Crist's moderate/liberal agenda today which will affect the future of Florida."

Brian Ballard.
Is Charlie Crist's Brian Ballard gay? A Brian Ballard signed a "manifesto" on a gay web site. I am not gay bashing but trying to figure out why we need to be concerned about Crist's flip flopping about civil unions. Maybe there's a reason for it.
Ballard collects a total of about $270,000 a year representing the cities of Palm Beach, Pembroke Pines and Boca Raton, and Charlotte and Martin counties. He said his rates, $40,000 to $65,000, are lower than what he charges 63 private clients, including Verizon, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Yankees.
"Even elected officials hire lobbyists".
$270,000 for his public sector clients. And a conservative $65,000 annually for each of his 63 private sector clients that works out to $4,365,000 per year(63 x 65,000 = 4,095,000 + 270,000 = 4,365,000).
Remind me why Brian Ballard is so special?
The Brian Ballard who fundraises for Crist is part of the Convergys scandal that was swept under the rug. Brian Ballard also bashed Katherine Harris.
If anyone wants to look around tomorrow on him, see who's behind donations and endorsements to Crist because except for the NRA, it's all liberals.
"Cumber, a key fundraiser for President Bush, recently married Meredith O'Rourke, a key Crist staffer."
There's the reason...
This is great. In Broward we've been calling random voters. 60% at least are solidly for Gallagher, 30 something % undecided, very few for Crist.
Put a fork in Crist, even though he does have the endorsement of a gay magazine - lol.
Is this Florida's future? Will developers wreck everything and expect a bailout by taxpayers? God Forbird Floridians elect Charlie Crist who has no credibility when he says "You can trust me." NONE WHATSOEVER. All he cares about is giving Graceland type tours on Tuesdays for "regular" people.
Isn't that generous of Candidate Meglomania Crist.

David -
Please ping me on the Florida results thread(s) this evening.
I doubt that's the reason; someone marrying a "staffer"? But then, as the saying goes: "Money is the mother of politics"
Actually, that needs to be revised to: "Money is the mother of political whores."
Husein was a GOP Ranger and his bride was a GOP Maverick. They were both big GOP fundraisers who fell in love. I hope they don't worship money. That would be bad.
