Tom Gallagher, CFO and Republican Candidate for Governor, today received the endorsement of Senator Dan Webster of Winter Garden at the First Life Center for Pregnancy at First Baptist Church in Orlando.
"I was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1980, the same year Ronald Reagan was elected president. Ronald Reagan endorsed me I knew Ronald Reagan - and Tom Gallagher is the only candidate for Governor who represents Ronald Reagan's conservative values, and the best person to lead our party and our state. After a lot of thoughtful deliberation, and after the recent debates and all the information I have studied during the course of this campaign, I am proud to endorse Tom today and announce that me, my family and everyone who I can motivate between now and Election Day will be voting for Tom Gallagher, and we ask all Republicans to do the same and elect the conservative we can count on," said Senator Webster.
Senator Webster is the second highest ranking Republican in the Florida Senate, serving as the Majority Leader. Through his years in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate, including serving as Speaker of the Florida House, he has been a champion for conservative causes. He has been a leading advocate for small businesses, families, and educational choice and was one of the first advocates for home schooling. In addition, as a businessman, he has been a leader with Jeb Bush in civil justice reform which will save millions of dollars for the small businesses of Florida.
This endorsement means a lot. Dan Webster has been a leader, a mentor, and a friend to Floridas leaders over the past 25 years, said Tom Gallagher. Together we will lead the state of Florida with the true values and principles of the Republican Party and preserve the legacy of Jeb Bush.
Gallaghers clear and conservative policy proposals to expand and improve upon the achievements of Jeb Bush have won him the endorsement of Florida Right to Life, Dr. James Dobson, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Congressman Dave Weldon, M.D., former Republican Governor Bob Martinez, the three immediate past-chairs of the Republican Party of Florida Al Cardenas, Tom Slade, and Van Poole, more than 80 Republican elected officials, 650 conservative community leaders, and more than 3000 grassroots volunteer team leaders.

I don't remember RR standing by and allowing his buddies in big insurance to cornhole Florida residents to the tune 0f 600% rate increases.
Gallagher doesn't deserve to be elected dog catcher with a record like that.
He would be crucified in the general election by Davis on that issue alone.
Do you have a link to back up your accusations?
Gallagher is so much like Ronald Reagan, in that he, well let's hear it from a strong conservative, Rep. Weldon.
"I have endorsed Tom Gallagher for Governor because I believe that Tom best represents the conservative Republican values that are important for Florida's future.
--snip--
Tom has been very clear on the issues and his platform. Tom is Pro-Life, Tom is against amnesty for illegal immigrants, Tom is against civil unions for gay couples, and he has taken a position alongside Governor Bush to develop alternatives to the class size amendment which will cost taxpayers many billions to implement.
Tom has clear plans on many of the issues facing Florida, I encourage you to visit his web site www.TG2006.com and become familiar with his ideas.
Some polls show Tom running behind his opponent, however, in primaries low turnout polls are often wrong. So your vote in this race is critical. Please join me on September 5th and vote for Tom Gallagher for Governor.

Here in Florida, as badly as weve been shafted by the insurance industry, Im extremely skeptical of anyone taking that money, said Ken Berry, a Merritt Island voter whose home premium jumped sixfold to $6,000, so high he cant afford to buy it. Many of his neighbors, faced with the same financial crunch, are leaving.
The For Sale signs are going up all over my neighborhood, Berry said, a fact he blames on politicians who owe their allegiance, instead of to the people theyre representing, they owe it to big business.
While the Republican Party of Florida collected $3.5 million from insurance companies and their executives, no candidate pulled in industry checks like Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher.
The former state insurance regulators run for the Republican gubernatorial nomination got a big initial kick from insurance interests. That sectors contributions so far to Gallagher and a political committee set up to support him: $780,000.
Gallagher, whose honorary finance chairman, Tom Petway, runs an insurance company, said his public role is as consumer advocate.--news-press.com Tallahassee Bureau
Donald Trump hosted a fund raiser for Crist.
"Crist sees a fluster over two donations, By Associated Press,Published February 13, 2006
For those who don't know, Donald Trump is a real estate and casinos owner, and tried to force a woman out of her home in New Jersey, for one of his casinos. Fortunately, he was not able to do so.
Donald Trump also owns real estate in Florida, and now that Charlie Crist is beholding to Trump, if Crist won, nobody's property would be safe (as in eminent domain).

How'd I find this link? I went to the ACLU web site, leading to googling under St. Pete Pride. Crist is from St. Pete. St. Pete Pride is endorsing him. They gave him a large paragraph compared to the dems.
How credible is this Ken Berry, and would you please supply a link to this story?
"GAYS & LESBIANS ENDORSE CRIST because they apparently know his views on civil unions, etc.

Good move checking out the ACLU website. I think I'll do the same, and hope others will join me.
"What's this about Charlie's ex-wife, Amanda Morrow, being a lesbian? Does the press know that she has lived with her partner for years? Is this why Charlie's marriage failed? Is this why Mr. Crist is for Civil Union for gays? Does this mean that their marriage was a sham?"
