Tom Gallagher, CFO and Republican Candidate for Governor, today received the endorsement of Senator Dan Webster of Winter Garden at the First Life Center for Pregnancy at First Baptist Church in Orlando.

"I was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1980, the same year Ronald Reagan was elected president. Ronald Reagan endorsed me – I knew Ronald Reagan - and Tom Gallagher is the only candidate for Governor who represents Ronald Reagan's conservative values, and the best person to lead our party and our state. After a lot of thoughtful deliberation, and after the recent debates and all the information I have studied during the course of this campaign, I am proud to endorse Tom today and announce that me, my family and everyone who I can motivate between now and Election Day will be voting for Tom Gallagher, and we ask all Republicans to do the same and elect the conservative we can count on," said Senator Webster.

Senator Webster is the second highest ranking Republican in the Florida Senate, serving as the Majority Leader. Through his years in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate, including serving as Speaker of the Florida House, he has been a champion for conservative causes. He has been a leading advocate for small businesses, families, and educational choice and was one of the first advocates for home schooling. In addition, as a businessman, he has been a leader with Jeb Bush in civil justice reform which will save millions of dollars for the small businesses of Florida.

“This endorsement means a lot. Dan Webster has been a leader, a mentor, and a friend to Florida’s leaders over the past 25 years,” said Tom Gallagher. “Together we will lead the state of Florida with the true values and principles of the Republican Party and preserve the legacy of Jeb Bush.”

Gallagher’s clear and conservative policy proposals to expand and improve upon the achievements of Jeb Bush have won him the endorsement of Florida Right to Life, Dr. James Dobson, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Congressman Dave Weldon, M.D., former Republican Governor Bob Martinez, the three immediate past-chairs of the Republican Party of Florida Al Cardenas, Tom Slade, and Van Poole, more than 80 Republican elected officials, 650 conservative community leaders, and more than 3000 grassroots volunteer “team leaders.”

of Senator Dan Webster of Winter Garden at the First Life Center for Pregnancy at First Baptist Church in Orlando.

I think we have a new record for the most consecutive prepositional phrases in a sentence.

He was also my Sunday School teacher in my formative High School days. A greater man I have not personally met.

Not that it is going to happen, but what do you think if JEB endorced Crist or Gallagher that it would seal the deal for that candidate?.... IMHO, if Jeb endorsed Gallagher he wins hands down.. if Jeb endorses Crist than it will be very tough for Gallgher to win, even with all the current endorsements..... what do ya'all think?

I don't see how Jeb could endorse Crist but then I've been wrong before about Jeb. That's just my opinion.

I think Jeb is doing what he thinks is best for the PARTY.. as I have stated publicly before.. I believe very strongly in the TWO party system, it is the only way we will pass a real conservative agenda in washington... I know we are talking about a Gov race not Washington, but the principle still applies.. a little off topic, but I can't pass up the opportunity to say 60 REPUBLICANS in the U.S. Senate (filibuster proof majority) is the ONLY way we have a CHANCE to get a conservative agenda passed.. that being said, to all my Crist supporting FRiends out there, I can only ask that when this PRIMARY is over we all get on board behind the winner !! I just hope it is Gallagher !!

The conventional wisdom is that Crist has it in the bag.

If that's the case, I wish someone would explain to me why every other commercial break on WOKV in Jacksonville has an ad touting Charlie Crist.

I am taping an 8.5 x 11 endorsement sheet to every sign going up at the church polling places, so that they will be seen on Sunday. BIG TYPE:

Dr. James Dobson, Sen. Dan Webster, Florida Right to Life, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Congressman Dave Weldon, M.D., former Republican Governor Bob Martinez,
the three immediate past-chairs of the Republican Party of Florida Al Cardenas, Tom Slade, and Van Poole, more than 80 Republican elected officials, 650 conservative community leaders, and more than 3000 grassroots volunteer “team leaders.”
