My m-i-l made the best meatloaf... I never could get it like hers. She was a great cook all-around. My mom's meatloaf is awful. Mine is pretty good, Mr.FF likes it! lol

it's alot of dumping.

About 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of hambuger

1 jumbo egg (farm egg sized) or 2 medium

About 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning, 1 tablespoon of season salt, 1 tablespoon of dried basil

1 to 1 -1/2 cups of oats

2 tablespoons of yellow mustard

1/4 cup of ketsup

1/3 cup of brown sugar

about 1/4 Cup of frozen onion or fresh chopped onion

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder or some fresh if you have it

About half way through cooking I put a sauce of 1/3 cup ketcup mixed with 1/4 cup of brown sugar on top then if I have it or feel like it, about 10 minutes before it's done I sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

I think that's it..like I said I'm a dumper, and it can depend on what's in the spice cupboard too.

It's an age thing.

My dentist told me about the saliva thing years ago! lol

But I don't want to contemplate that in any case... in my mind I will always be 26!

scalloped potatoes , meatloaf. My mother used to cook this , delicious. My wife was a good cook and fed us a very healthful diet but didn't include meat loaf and scalloped potatoes like mother used to make. And Mother and my aunts made corn bread all the time.

I make yellow cake all the time, it's very good with chocolate buttercream......it's a white cake with the whole egg instead of just using the whites...

My m-i-l wrote out a lot of her recipes for me before she died. Included was the treasured family recipe for Christmas cookies, but not meat loaf! She also made something she called "sloppy joes" but it's made with baloney! Mr.FF adores it. I do not!

well, you just aren't as lazy as I am...I found that if you put hot dish water in your bowl that you used and turn your mixer on low for a few seconds, it really cleans those beaters!!!
