Here's a great site for the cheapest gas prices in your area.
http://www.gasbuddy.com
At the local HEB prices have dropped from over $3 to the $2.65 or so mark in the last couple of weeks. If it drops below $2, the Rats will start slitting their wrists.
It will be a lot less than $2.00 next year.
Actually it peaked at $3.25 and it's been on a downhill slide since.
and the DU is absolutely convinced that it's a bush/rove plot to lower prices in advance of the elections..
honestly, do they know nothing of world prices, futures and the price of oil on an open market??
wait till china's economy implodes, gas will be less than a buck...
ping
If $2.00 by TG, I'm going to bump up from turkey to goose!
forget Thanksgiving. tell me what it is the weekend before election day. if we can get it under $2.50, that would be good.
I paid 2.51 yesterday.
Exactly. Anyone who's paid attention to the futures and particularly the spot oil markets, would have seen this "sudden" news a month or two ago.
$2.54? where are you?
NY Mercantile Exchange Unleaded Gaoline Futures
The futures prices typically show up at the pump about 3-5 days later. You'll have to gauge the amount of taxes + retail markup for your areas to add to the futures price.
China is making a concerted effort to cool their economy. If successful, that would reduce the demand for oil. In addition, our inventory is increasing and demand will slacken after Labor Day. If we could get a handle on Iran, there is an estimated $10 to $15 premium built into the price of oil that would evaporate very quickly.
I'm not going to forward this to a friend who just bought a Prius. They'll need to put him on suicide watch.
The cloud of smug will just dissipate over SoCal.
That's gonna leave a mark at the ol' DNC.
It would kill those predictions of the Republicans losing the House and Senate.
Except the MSM will make sure we know...
IT'S NOT BUSH'S FAULT.
Shalom.
Shalom.
That was just on gasoline. Add another 6 cents for diesel fuel, not to mention the "color coding" for road (taxed, low-sulfur) and off-road (non-taxed, higher-sulfur, farm and construction use) diesel.
It started out as red for road use, blue for off-road, and green for military use. However, when the blue dye was mixed into the diesel, it turned GREEN! (I guess the pion in charge was absent that day in grade school when the art teacher taught them "Yellow and Blue make GREEN!)
Today, only the off-road is dyed, and it's red....
2.59 in the motor city.
