The president hit the campaign trail, traveling from Texas to Arkansas to support gubernatorial candidate Asa Hutchinson, then to Loews Vanderbilt Plaza, Nashville, Tennessee (news and video), where hell attend a fundraiser for Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Bob Corker.
Laura Bush was in Bellevue, WA, to help raise funds for Senate candidate Mike Mike McGavick.

Look how intently she is peering into the president's face.Olivia: Next to my mommy and daddy, I trust you the most of all. I know you care about keeping me and my family safe so I can grow up and become President, just like you.
President Bush: You are right precious Olivia. I do want to keep the world safe for you to grow up in. About that President thingy.....do you know how people treat a Republican President? Call me in 20 years.....we'll do lunch and discuss it.

LOVE all the photos, especially the 'baby' photo -- our president is going to make the world's best grandpa!!
MUST VIEW:
Ignore Brian Williams (NBC News) and just focus on our AWESOME president in the videoclips from Williams' interview last evening:
I particularly enjoyed the President's response to Williams' insultingly loaded question about his (the President's) relationship with his father!

HOW A NON-CATHOLIC RESPECTFULLY COMMUNES AT MASS
by The Anchoress
The Anchoress provides an AWESOME analysis of the President's inspiringly respectful behavior at mass yesterday. She compares his humbly appropriate behavior with that of Bill Clinton when he (Clinton) was presented with a similar situation [beautiful photos included]:

Kasich has always been, and remains, an arrogant JERK! . . . I've always been ashamed that he's from Ohio!

Deb--thanks, as always for your wonderful contribution. I loved reading The Anchoress' article. As a non-Catholic, it educated me--and, of course, gave me further respect for our beloved GWB (as opposed to his predecessor!).
I will look at the video later--I heard that Brian Williams was not particularly objective in his questions--but it is always a delight to watch GWB. Thank you!

Anyone else notice how well-kempt and lovely these ladies are? Not your Ms. Sheehurl types. Yes, I did notice how lovely these ladies with Laura are! Ms Sheehurl is in dire need of a make-over. I recommend her for the show "What Not to Wear.' Fabulous dose!

On that thread, did you see this funny post by Tao Yin:

I've always liked Asa and am glad to see him meeting with the president. Thanks for the Dose, Gretchen.
We've had thunderstorms here all afternoon and are in a bit of a lull right now.

Not quite an exact quote, when Bri Bri tried to get W to slam Poppy:
W: My dad means the world to me; he gave me the greatest gift a dad can give, and that is, unconditional love.
