It then turned out that Ms Plame was a covert CIA operative, so leaking her identity was a serious matter, a criminal offence under US law.

Let the the loony left think this. It really is a moot point now that it has been shown that it was one of their own that leaked her name.

What I am waiting for now is to see who on the left will have the guts, the maturity to admit they were wrong all along and apologize to the administration.

Will it be Joe Wilson? No way. He is an immature little bully who gets jobs only because of his wife's CIA position.

Will it be Nancy 'Botox' Pelosi? No way. She has never cared about the truth so why start now? And, she is not adult enough to apologize to anyone.

Will it be John S'Kerry?? Well, again we all know the answer to that one. He is just a typical lib: Truth? We don't care about no stinking truth! Apologize? For what??

Will it be the hundreds of 'experts' in the lying al-MSM, all the 'experts' who have now been proven incredibly wrong? Again, that would take a courageous adult to do that and there are none of those on the left.

Guess the al-MSM will just bury this one rather than admit to America and to their own supporters that they not only were wrong, but that they KNEW within months of the investigation starting that it was Armitage and deliberately misled their own supporters and real Americans..

Typical, childish and immature response that we have all come to expect from the left.

It's just a guess but knowing how classified information is dealt with at that level I suspect that Armitage didn't confess publicly because he was told not to, probably by counsel, possibly by Powell himself.

A Deputy Secretary does not have an unrestricted privilege of disclosing classified information, but his or her scope of discretion is fairly wide with respect to declassifying information, which isn't altogether the same thing. Armitage may or may not be in legal jeopardy from this, and if it was the opinion of counsel that he was that may account for his reticence.

My guess is they knew.
They are a kind of low life that decent people can't understand.
No way could we think like Joe Wilson.
My opinion, he is one low snake, beware of a snake that acts like a knowledgeable businessman. You will get bit when you least expect it.

Now it is their turn. Lets hope the pressure is kept on them.
They want to be Washington's elite, well, it may be time for their fantasy to end. I do hope so.
