I've heard this comparison to the length of time we fought in World War 2 before. This must be on their talking point list of why Iraq is a failure, i.e. it's taking longer than World War 2. It's taking longer than World War II because then we only had to fight the Germans, Japanese and Italians.
Now we have to fight the Taliban, Iraqi terrorists, Al Qaeda, the American Liberals and the Main Stream Media.

"...it's taking longer than World War 2."
Also, you had an entire nation who, if not already in uniform, was united in supporting the troops, the war effort, growing victory gardens, etc.; we had rationing, scrap metal drives, people did without and were proud to do so.
Today's American is self-centered, will not sacrifice, whines incessantly, and half of our congress is made up of traitors and neo-communists. And those are just a few of the more obvious differences.

Got news for Pelosi. WWII didn't end until 1989, when the eastern European nations conquered and illegally occupied by the USSR were finally liberated to determine their own fate and government. By that measure, we've still got at least another 40 years to go in WWIV.

The current Time magazine has an article about
Pelosi, I think it's supposed to be flattering but to me it said she was not interested in the country as a whole, just interested in being against the GOP. Nothing but obstruction yet no original ideas of her own.

Stupid doesn't adequately characterize the Democrat Congressional leadership. The empty skull of Pelosi should be used as a gavel block in the House proceedings that investigate and identify the treasonous activities pursued by the Democrat leadership.

What a dispicable creature she is. God help us if she becomes Speaker of the House.

"it's taking longer than World War 2."
In the good old days, our forces could firebomb civilian centers or drop nukes and kill tens of thousands. Today we have to tip-toe around snipers in mosques.

This is an excellent point. I wish Rumsfeld had talked about how we're fighting so carefully to minimize civilian casualties.

"This is an excellent point. I wish Rumsfeld had talked about how we're fighting so carefully to minimize civilian casualties" Right on-I think there will be little concern for " collateral damage" when we hit Iran.

She's talkin' about the "horrors at Abu Ghraib" when our enemies like to saw people's heads off?
Good Lord. This is treason. They need to arrest her.

There was only so much of this article's bowing and scraping that I could take. LOL! Notice how she is compared with Delay (w/o the ethical and legal problems, of course). Her energy level? I guess they left out that it is due to a sugar addiction. And MTV after midnight, oh, how hip and modern this 66(6) year old is. Wow, I'm impressed.
I agree with you, this was a very telling article about Ms. Pelosi's mind set. She sees the country as a stepping stone to personal power. Her motto is how can the US serve me, I doubt it ever occurred to her to serve the nation. I have nothing but contempt for this hideous creature.
