Watch the video of him the day he was freed. His comments then were not under duress.

The thing to do is tell them you have converted, then after they release you, tell them to kiss your @ss. At a minimum, I would NEVER say a good word about my captors or their gutter religion of psychopaths.

But he did say in the interview with Greta that he told his captors he was there to tell their (Palestinians) side of the story.

I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that he was just saying that to save his skin.
