I'm not familiar w/this blessing thing. Is it in place of Communion? Can everyone come up and get it? Is it for ceremonial services (rather than the regular Sunday-type service)?

I'm not familiar w/this blessing thing. It's new to me too. I'm not Catholic--I was raised in Baptist/Pentecostal churches. They're not big on ceremonies like this.
