I've obtained a significant section of the NDP draft policy document. I'm told that it was available on the NDP website briefly before it was pulled. As mentioned, this document was largely assembled by local NDP EDAs. A lot of the document is troubling.
As we know, the NDP is no supporter of the Canadian mission in Afghanistan. In fact, in one of its policy proposals, the Peterborough NDP EDA doesn't mince words:
"BE IT RESOLVED that Canada remove its troops from Afghanistan." -- Peterborough NDP Other Electoral District Associations voice their opposition to the Afghan mission with a bit more gusto:
"THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the NDP demand that Canadian Forces disengage from any support role for the U.S. and its puppet regime in Iraq, including the training of Iraqi soldiers in Jordan, policing the Persian Gulf, and participating in the occupation of Afghanistan." -- Oakville NDP The Haldimand-Norfolk NDP takes their distrust of America and global security one step further:
"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Government of Canada will withdraw from its participation in NORAD." -- Haldimand-Norfolk NDP The Nanaimo-Cowichan NDP spells it out for anyone still unsure of the NDP position: .....

This is from the Commies.
I don't know if the NDP are actually commies, but I remember their mantra in the 1970s against 'corporate bums.' It's all you ever heard.
It was a shock to hear they had taken over the Ontario government back in the 90s. That would have been like socialists taking over California. As opposed to what California is today... never mind.
"Commies" is hyperbole.
"Crooks" and "Traitors" are as well, but not so much. ;^)
At Taylor's site, you can download the whole file - it's a doozy!
F**k the NDP!
Wow, they sound just like the Howard Dean/Nancy Pelosi faction of the Democratic party.
How is a freely and democratically elected government under a freely and democratically approved constitution a "puppet regime" of the US?
These are the same people who believe that Bush's victories in 2000 and 2004 were fixed.
Nanaimo, an NDP stronghold, has its own Red Square, a downtown development marked by funding scandals and owned by an NDP front.
I was living in Ontario then. It ws really a protest vote against both the Conservatives and the Liberals. Even the NDP were surprised they'd won! And boy did they make living in Ontario s*ck.
Jack Layton is hilarious
NDP leader David Lewis coined the phrase "corporate welfare bum" during his fairly successful campaign in the 1972 election. It was a reference to the array of subsidies to corporations and it resonated with the voters.
Lewis stepped down as party leader after losing his seat in the 1984 election. He was defeated after it was revealed that his campaign was raising money by coercing donations from Elections Canada workers in a "cash for jobs" kickback scheme, a practice that the party continued until the mid-1980s.
(No more Olmert! No more Kadima! No more Oslo! )
It figures. Lewis cut a shaky jib.
Federally probably not, but provincally they already have.

They are well left of them. Those people would be in the Liberal Party if they were in Canada.
Isn't this the mob that wants Canada out of Afghanistan but to deploy troops to Lebanon? A proper bunch of Neanderthals!!!!!
The bum who ran that governement, Bob Rae, is now a contender for the federal lieberals. I hope he's the one they go with, as he can be ridiculed for what he did to bankrupt Ontario during his tenure.
