BREAKING NEWS: Flight diverted to Tri-Cities airport following bomb threat
U.S. Airways flight from Philadelphia to Houston has been diverted to the Tri-Cities Regional Airport after authorities said a bomb threat involving the flight was made.
About 50 to 60 people aboard the flight currently are being evacuated, according to airport officials. Flight #3441 was being operated by Republic Airways.
That's nice. My wife's flight just took off within the past few minutes. Fortunately on a different airline.
Better get a shower, we'll keep you updated.
I wonder if we are going to begin seeing more bomb threats at schools and malls as well. Anything to disrupt.
Has anyone started a pool on how many times this is gonna happen a day. Vegas should make a game out of it. Jeez.

I've always wondered about malls
especially here in New Jersey, where on saturday they are crowded wall to wall (4 stories) could be taken down by a few bombs in the right places...scary thought.
My nephew's a pilot for Republic...I'll have to try to call his wife.

Anybody have any ideas where the "Tricities" is? I know of several regions that go by that name.
Obviously a terrorist doesn't leave a note, but they need to find out who pulls these pranks and prosecute them.
It reminds me of high school days when students would call in bomb threats and they'd have to evac the whole school.

I'm not positive but I thought I heard them mention Bristol, Tennessee as being where this airport was located.

We're on the same page. It seems to me that the goal of terrorism is to induce fear, (terror). I know that's kind of a duh, but look at what's happening. Routines are being altered, fear is widespread as relates to flying. I know the terrorists prefer to kill, but inducing fear means a secondary goal is being achieved.
Close the borders. Profile. Put islam on notice that it's very existence in the US is in jeparody if the best they can do is: complain about backlash when one of their own kills again, demand sharia law over our laws of the land, and continue with the notion that islam can and will be the only religion in the land.

This is indeed going to happen more and more.
Two reasons:
1. People are a little bit jumpy after the UK plot was uncovered (and rightly so).
and
2. The Jihadis are intentionally trying to mess with us. Some of them have learned how to press the envelope without directly breaking the law. Sure, a flight turns around, and maybe even they're arrested. But, no charges are filed as they didn't 'technically' break any laws. As another poster referred to the game that's being played by some of these Islamofascists, it's their equivalent of 'passive resistance.'
