Police checked hours of surveillance video and pored over phone records yesterday as they tried to figure out who killed a gay former Giuliani aide.....Martin Barreto was found Monday, stripped naked and left lying beside condoms and lubricant on his bed in his Greenwich Village home. Cops were also checking a used condom for DNA evidence.
Barreto worked in former Mayor Rudy Giuliani's press office in 1994 and 1995.....had two mysterious visitors to his home before he was found dead - and police are investigating whether the death was caused by rough sex.......they ruled out one former boyfriend, even though Barreto had filed several harassment complaints against him.

new york....in the AM Metro rag last week, it went on and on about how, "he's just a normal working guy, never hung around with the wrong people, good, fun loving guy..." etc. etc. ad freaking nauseum.
Screaming between the lines, however, was the obvious -- the sorts of people he invited into his bedroom...but in NY, you just can't come and say, "homosexuals are violent and often kill their partners."

MYC is still a rough town. Anybody, man or woman, straight, gay, bi, whatever, who is looking for Mr Goodbar takes risks.

Mr. Barreto began his career in television at CBS News in the U.S. and Latin America and later served as director of public affairs and editorials at WCBS Newsradio 88, CBS Radios flagship station. While at CBS, Martin was honored with more than ten first-place awards for his corporate communications and journalism work

Only if he is a self-loathing homo.

So many gay men live a life that reminds me of the long-ago movie "Looking for Mr. Goodbar." Even men with respectable jobs end up cruising clubs and picking up strangers in their off time. It's amazing more of them have not ended up this way.

If a homo kills a homo, is that a 'hate' crime? Snort---you gotta be kidding---homos don't "hate" (/sarc).
Whan a homo kills a homo that's considered "an accident as a result of rough sex."

The crime happpens so frequently that it has already been on one of the Law&Order series. I can't remember which one I saw it on.

Really?
Sounds like some brilliant detective work on the part of the NYPD.

If this was a Clinton aide, you can bet it would have been...
