Millionaire real estate developer Charles Kushner is home.......he will be back at the firm he founded before his downfall on tax fraud and other charges. The one-time political heavyweight was released from a Newark halfway house Friday after finishing what remained of a reduced sentence.......
Kushner, a prominent philanthropist who has given millions to schools, hospitals and charities, and contributed to the campaigns of politicians including former Gov. James E. McGreevey, toppled from grace in 2004 after a lengthy investigation into his finances.
He admitted to making campaign contributions in the names of partners and cheating on his taxes by claiming $1 million of personal spending as charitable donations. Kushner also pleaded guilty to retaliating against his sister, a grand jury witness. He hired a prostitute to seduce the woman's husband and then sent a videotape of the episode to their home. On April 8, 2005, he reported to a minimum-security prison camp in Montgomery, Ala., to begin serving what was supposed to be a two-year sentence for tax fraud and witness retaliation. Less than a year later, he was transferred to the Fenwick Street halfway house in Newark.
While at the Alabama prison camp he applied for admission to a substance abuse program. Federal prosecutors launched an investigation to determine if he was lying or faked his way into the program. But ultimately filed no charges.
Federal inmates who complete the 500-hour program are eligible for immediate transfer to a less-restrictive halfway house. Federal authorities agreed to reduce his sentence and he entered the Newark facility on April 1. Four months before he would have been freed from the prison camp if he hadn't entered the treatment program, Kushner left the halfway house for home.

Freakazoid Kushner was also going to send pictures of the seduction scene to his young nieces----but somebody talked the nutcase out of it. Guy is a real loon. I guess the wife has to go some to turn him on to "normal" sex......oh, well, that's what charge cards are for among the wealthy.
Funny you should ask-----the house Corslime bought his union Slut-Puppy was an historic farmhouse that went back to the 1800's, that I believe had a landmark designation.
I would think that keeping up with the subject matter other folks post is abnormal, much more so than HOW MUCH they may post. Get real.
Yeah, bad Feng Shui. Prolly why he got caught! ;o)
Nope, If I remember correctly, there is a road between the houses and the ocean, so that would be the front of the house.
if thats the case. there really is no excuse. heh.
rmo
He was also the inventor of the Hula-Hoop.
The tax cheating and influence buying are boilerplate crimes done by repubs and dems alike. However, what kind of sister would testify to a grand jury about her brother doing run in the mill white collar crime? And what kind of brother would hire a prostitute to seduce the husband of the aformentioned sister. That is just downright ugly. I think liberal families are generally not as close as conservative families.
Oh, and my vote is the house is ugly. As someone else correctly wrote, the arches are out of proportion and the garage can be seen from the road. Also the balconies are out of proportion.
This is his second or third home. It's a week-end get away
place.
Is that the famous Astor house in Asheville, NC?
The house looks like they added on to an existing structure and hired a contemporary architect to do over a period-era house.
The town is famous in history books as the place where several Victorian-era presidents vacationed.
Perhaps you should start your own priestly pedophile'ophile website if that's your desire.
Vanderbilt paid little attention to the family business or his own investments, and the construction and upkeep of Biltmore depleted much of his inheritance. After Vanderbilt died of complications from an appendectomy in 1914, his widow sold much of the original 125,000 acres (506 km²) to the federal government to become Pisgah National Forest. The estate includes approximately 8,000 acres today and is split in half by the French Broad River. It is owned today by The Biltmore Company, which is controlled by Vanderbilt's grandson, William A.V. Cecil. In 1963, it was designated a National Historic Landmark.
Interesting---thanks----I believe at the time it was supposed to be the largest private home in America.

When you reach a certain income level, it's charities or the tax man, right? Otherwise, this doesn't seem to be in keeping with his character.
When 100,000 square feet just isn't enough.
