Some people don't know any better and could by Bob's BS and that is real bad.
Truth in reporting please!
well IF hezbollah has indeed given money out to homeless lebanese... they do it mostly to win the hearts and minds of the people there so that they will further support hezbollah. Rabbi Lapin described it as similar to Don Corleone and his undertaker friend -- you do me a favor and I'll do you a favor, and we'll keep being friends. this time, this "friendship" is pure propaganda. after this they'll continue commiting the same terrorist acts and screwing lebanon up. the hell was schieffer thinking?
Their affinity for Islam is like their affinity for everything else, abortion, minorities, gun control, etc. These are merely tools to an end. And if it was deemed that one of the things they support would threaten their ideology or themselves, you'd see a turnabout faster than you can say "flip-flop".
But these friends got their homes and businesses blown up.
Schieffer is just another senile old lefty just marking time until Katie comes to take his job away.
Was he a backer of communism as well?
I don't know about that but after their antics "covering" the Vietnam war, I don't believe a damn thing SeeBS says.
It's called counterfeiting, I'm sure. Does this idiot really want the US to hand out counterfeit $$ to Katrina survivors as a solution to their plight?!
Why do they need to use real money?! The average Lebanese wouldn't know the difference and most journalists wouldn't bother to check.
Because as they try and spend it in Europe a scandal about fraud would develop.
Iran has lots of oil money, so a couple or so million in hand outs for cameras is not an issue.
The fact this jerk of a CBS reporter could glorify them and call us a problem is whacked out.
"I believe we gave money away weeks after Katrina to people who lost their homes in New Orleans."
No. Hasn't happened yet.
Was it "green helmet guy" giving out the money?
Not unless you consider the 2k debit cards that some folks used at strip clubs.
"Not unless you consider the 2k debit cards that some folks used at strip clubs."
Unfortunately, that's disgustingly true.
Incorrect. The money started flowing just days after Katrina. FEMA provided cash cards remember? The government spent a lot of money sending in the military, putting tarps on roofs, providing food and water, providing trailers. So the accusation is incorrect.

If you were referring to emergency money that was handed out to almost all Katrina victims after the storm to see them through the initial aftereffects (evacuation costs etc.), you are correct. When I read your first post in which you said,
"I believe we gave money away weeks after Katrina to people who lost their homes in New Orleans.",
I thought that you were touching on the monies allocated by the federal government to help out those who had lost their homes and to rebuild the city at large. As of yet it has not been distributed. This is always in the news reports here, so it is much on my mind. That might have caused me to misinterpret your statement.
Well they can't rebuild homes until they know the elevation the homes have to be at for each part of the city. I don't follow all the details but my brother lives there and tells me there are quite a few factors slowing down progress that can't be fixed by the feds just handing out money.
as further info ... this morning on NPR they were talking about thousands upon thousands of N.O. people living in Houston that are living there rent-free. Houston was picking up the tab and then complaining because FEMA was taking so long to reimburse them. So you and I have been paying for rent for the last year for thousands of people in Houston alone. They also mentioned they were having their healthcare costs covered also but didn't elaborate. NPR was saying they will be shutting off the spiggot in a month or so and they were worried about what would become of these people. Incredible.
