When is it OK for boys to be girls, and girls to be boys?
Many kids want to look and act like the other sex. For some, it's a phase; for others, it's not. Parents and schools are adjusting.

Park Day School is throwing out gender boundaries.
Teachers at the private Oakland elementary school have stopped asking the children to line up according to sex when walking to and from class. They now let boys play girls and girls play boys in skits. And there's a unisex bathroom.
Admissions director Flo Hodes is even a little apologetic that she still balances classes by gender.
Park Day's gender-neutral metamorphosis happened over the past few years, as applications trickled in for kindergartners who didn't fit on either side of the gender line. One girl enrolled as a boy, and there were other children who didn't dress or act in gender-typical ways. Last year the school hired a consultant to help the staff accommodate these new students.
"We had to ask ourselves, what is gender for young children?" Hodes said. "It's coming up more and more."
Park Day's staff members are among a growing number of educators and parents who are acknowledging gender variance in very young children. Aurora School, another private elementary school in Oakland, also is seeing children who are "gender fluid" and hired a clinical psychologist to conduct staff training.

What needs to be asked is why is this happening? and what can be done to stop it.
I guess if the adults in a community don't face reality why should the children?
Bingo.
Sweet smokin' Jesus! I'm so tired of this multicultural and transgendered rhetoric. Gag! When I was in school some whacko tried wearing a skirt to school. The administration told him no and he made a big stink. Good Lord...don't these fruity folks know that they are only making themselves look nuttier than they already are. I don't want to see you in a man-skirt. Come on...if you've got a unit for genitalia you cannot, will not, wear skirts. Ever. Period. Freak.
It's just part of the plan to subvert the culture.

Tell it to a Scotsman with a big claymore!
The son of some folks we knew was like this from about grade 7-12. They couldn't stop him, so they laughed about it, although nervously. This was about 15-16 years ago. He would wear girls clothes to school, but he dated girls and lived with a girlfriend after he graduated. I can't recall if they had a child, as we lost touch with that family about then....on purpose.
Well: mom left Dad for a woman, one sister is gay and this boy, now a young man, is serving time for being accessory to a murder.
Do I have to add that the entire family is PC to a fault and very superior with it, too?
I think I was one of the few who regard "Halloween" emphasis on death and gore as unhealthy.Didn't and still don't like all the faker skeletons and skulls, church? and community sponsored horror halls.I believe they trivialuize murder and mayhem. Nothing against Beggar's Night and kids costuming as anything gender approriate and non-gory.
It is up to the adults to set the standards and boundaries;all too many adults appear never to have grwon up .i
I can only scratch my head and ask, "when are you leaving that neighborhood?"
While your rant may have some valid points, this school is private. Parents pay very good money for this silliness, and it is silliness, but it is not a public school.
This is in San Fransisco, were there are a whole lot of "gay" families.
I wonder what could have possibly caused all these screwed up children?
Anybody?
Anybody?
My best friend from high school is a Elementary school PE teacher. Going through college in PE was an eye-opening experience for her. Mostly masculine females in that major! She's happily married for 30+ years herself.
This is a private school.
And save the rant for the creo threads. That's where there are folks who would be happy to point out your fallacies and refute your misconceptions.
FWIW, Darwin thought God created the universe, did not choose or agree with the term "survival of the fittest" and was a firm abolitionist.
Selective breeding, which was Hitler's and Sanger's milieu, came way before Darwin.
And Hitler was influenced mostly by Karl Lueger, anti-semitic leader of the Christian Social Party in Austria.
Blaming Darwin for Columbine is simply too ridiculous.
Will you acknowledge that a kilt is not a skirt?
BTTT.
What is "creo"?
Oh, and kiss my grits while you're at it.
I'm sure the forum is quite impressed with your academic acumen, but you are full of it, like most academics.
