Perhaps I am misreading what I have seen on Fox News, or perhaps I am getting too cynical in my old age. Perhaps not.
Is anyone else being struck by the "oddness" of this whole scenario? As I watched the men being rushed into the building and as they met with the head of the Palestinian Authority and as they were dragged out for their "press conference" (Mrs. BBC Wiig's big moment) I couldn't help noticing the dearth of western faces. I also noticed Wiig's reaction to being grabbed by several Palestinian "officials" and his yelling "Get off!".
My immediate reaction is that they are STILL being held by the terrorists and they are ANOTHER terrorist incident of manipulating the western media. At what point, I wonder, will they ACTUALLY be released?
Foxnews said they were released, and indicated they had passed thru the checkpoints into Israel.

You obviously didn't hear Amy Kellog announce that they had crossed the border and are now in Israel.

You are right about the oddness--but I think it's in the coverage. I'm happy that the captives are freed, but to say that Palestinians value fine treatment of "guests" made me turn off the TV in disgust. Where are the Israeli soldiers that are still in captivity???
Hey, and not only that, those FOX news guys have converted to Islam, that "religion of peace", isn't that a fuzzy feel-good kinda ending to this ordeal?

I am watching Fox this morning and I feel my nausea rising. All their anchors are falling all over themselves thanking the Palestinian leadership--who probably orchestrated this whole thing anyway as a warning to jounalists in general, and FNS in particular. The conversion to Islam thing was nothing more than rank humiliation heaped on these guys.
Maybe when the get back to the US, they'll tell us what they REALLY think.
