Keep in mind these guys are simply reporters and are not trained to deal with torture and such.
They are in a tough situation and might say some stupid things.
Don't hold it against them.
Did Fox just cut out to commercials on anyone, or is it lame-@$$ Cox Communications again?
You find Jesus with your heart, but you find Islam at the end of a sword. There's a lot of space for understanding their situation here. No worries, just prayers for their safe return.
Don't hold it against them.
I agree. I've had to think about what I'd do in such a situation. I decided that if I were ever kidnapped, I would say whatever stupid things they made me say in order to save my life, no matter how bad it might sound.
I'd retract it all once I was free and in safe territory.

Everyone breaks, it's just a matter of time.
Don't hold it against them.I wouldn't hold it against anybody. Nobody in his right mind would think these statements are anything other than prepared statements read under duress. They didn't reveal any state secrets. The statements aren't even effective propaganda for the enemy (and that's what these kidnappers are).
Not in the least. If it was a choice between getting my head sawed off and playing muzzie, I'd put on an Oscar performance.
Nobody actually believes the statements are not forced.
If I was in their situation, I would say whatever they wanted either.
Ditto...
