I don't think Fox cares one bit if they were forced to convert or forced to walk around with their underwear on their heads as long as they were released safely.Agreed. I am just telling the other wild-eyed posters that this supposed "conversion" is about as authentic as Hillary's honesty or Ted Kennedy's decency.

They were called "guests" for a very good reason. Apparently, part of the Islamic culture teaches that all "guests" are from God, and therefore, they must be treated well.
Using the word "guest" may have played a part in keeping Centanni and Olaf alive.

Has everyone forgotten when Saddam Hussein took an entire airliner of passengers off their flight and told them they were his guests. Remember the little boy who wouldn't let SH near him. He kept those people as his 'guests' for quite a few days if I recal correctly.

Conversion under gunpoint is not conversion. Actually, it is -- from the radical islamist viewpoint.
This of course means that their renunciation of the "conversion" marks them as reprobate muslims -- a state far worse than being a mere "infidel", because for a muslim to "leave his religion", there's a death penalty.

Had the presence of mind to point out that the terrorists accomplished -- discouraging reporters from going to Gaza, and thus have discouraged the Palestinian story from being told.

While they both look good, isn't Steve's hair almost white now? The photo they show of him before capture has his hair light brown all over, but now it's mostly white.

Why don't you tell us how the media was compromised. The media aired the conversion tape. The media mentioned the conversion to "peaceful Islam that is respected and admired by everyone" in the media. The media mentioned the "suffering and plight" of the Palestinians at the hands of the terrible Israeli occupiers.
But then again, it was not a lot different than what CNN and Reuters run every day. No criticism for Islamic acts of terror. Praise and respect for the "Prophet Mohammed". Centanni was the only one to mention God and the talking heads dismissed it as an "emotional reaction", and NOBODY dare mention Jesus Christ or Yahweh.
