I've read a lot about the Arab culture and even the poorest Arab feels a great responsibility to treat all guests with respect and food and drink.
And I'm quite certain you're correct about why FNC was stressing the word guest.
Also, Jennifer and other journalists for FNC took part in a march in Gaza alongside Palestinian journalists asking for Centanni and Olaf to be freed. She and other reporters said the Palestinian people were working for their release because they know they don't have military equipment and all they have is the media. They NEED the media and kidnapping Centanni was a huge mistake.
Mention what every few minutes?

I've said as much. Jennifer has clearly stated this in her reports the last two weeks.
What these poor, oppressed Palestinians terrorists did was strategically brilliant. They effectively brokered human lives in order to gain unfettered access to US and western media for propaganda purposes. My comments stirred debate and garnered scorn and derision. One could only conclude that several other FReepers saw at least a shred of validity to the perspective that media was compromised.

I don't think Fox cares one bit if they were forced to convert or forced to walk around with their underwear on their heads as long as they were released safely.
I agree. I was just thinking that if the Palis didn't do it, that it was some other bunch of brother Muslims/Islamists, with friends and/or allies like that, who needs enemies?
If the Palestinians ever want to get anywhere, they're going to have to give up their perpetual victimhood and choose their friends and/or allies more wisely.
Here's what I believe..the word "guest" as was just pointed out on FOX a few minutes ago- was used as a CODE word to manipulate the bad guys. No one here seriously thinks they cared one WHIT about the welfare of these two men- nor were they treated as guests.
The POINT is..FOX used the "guest" word to turn the responsibility for Steve and Olaf back on them..and it appears to have worked.
