New Dimensions On The Axis

Geopolitics: As the world dithers on Iran and North Korea, two new threats are surfacing on the U.S. intelligence radar that underscore why the West must get tougher on rogue states.

Venezuela and Cuba, which seemed to campaign for it, finally won spots in the Axis of Evil when the U.S. Director of National Intelligence set up a mission manager to coordinate strategy on the two countries.

Venezuela and Cuba weren't even on our intelligence radar until 2005 or 2006. Only the most recent National Security Strategy listed Venezuela as worth watching because "a demagogue awash in oil money is undermining democracy and seeking to destabilize the region."

The new office signals the trouble seems to be spreading.

I think that the current president will do as much as he can.

Yeah, I think so, too. But he can't let himself be intimidated by the eurotrash and the leftists, he's got to kick butt at some point. I'd like to see Hugo go down with the mullahs too, preferably together.

Yeah, that's what the article argues. They must be gotten rid of or all these little Eichmanns, I mean, little Hugos, will be the result.

If the school bully thinks that your acting weak, he will make your life miserable. Iran, North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba sense weakness from the United States. The constant negative drum beat from the major media and democrats has embolden our enemies and divided the nation. The democrats and media place their agenda and petty politics above the security of the home land. Lets grant civil rights to terrorist, no listening to overseas calls originating from terrorist, kill the patriot act, no new drilling for oil, and retreat from Iraq. Its going to be interesting to see where people stand come election day.

You should look at Venezuela's and Cuba's sponsors... China and especially Russia. Russia is the one who makes this entire mess possible, with the Chinese assisting.
