Congresswoman Katherine Harris has a new campaign commercial on the air!
Please take a moment to go to this link and be one of the first to watch the ad online.
The ad highlights Congresswoman Harris' proven record of leadership and results while serving the Florida voters, in stark contrast to Bill Nelson's complete lack of meaningful accomplishment as Insurance Commissioner and U.S. Senator.
Florida deserves better than Bill Nelson!

No, that is not the reason. The reason is that if she polls 40%, that's about as good as it gets.

What's the story behind that one??? I've seen it before.

Interesting that Ms. Harris would launch a campaign ad and the
response would come from the Associate Press via Yahoo!...

While not thrilled with her- I was going to vote for Harris. Until today- when I read the article in the Orlando Sentinel about her appearance before a Baptist group.
THIS sentence is what finished me with Harris:
"If you're not electing Christians, then in essence you are going to legislate sin," Harris told interviewers from the Florida Baptist Witness, the weekly journal of the Florida Baptist State Convention.
I am not a liberal or an atheist. I have and likely will in the future vote for candidates that are not Christian. I do not consider that to be legislating sin. I find that remark of hers- and the others in that statement to be offensive IN THE EXTREME.

"Harris is a challenge to the GOP good-old boy status-quo. That's why they're teaming up with the liberal media to pull out all the stops on her."ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!
Is that the latest excuse for Tammy-Faye Harris? "Good old boys?"
Maybe it is the fact that she is a micro-manager, and all of her staff quit many, many times. Maybe it is the fact that she said the US should not be secular, but should be christian.
Maybe it is the rumor that she has had so many afairs.
Maybe it is the fact that her former staff hates her.
Nope. Good old boys.

there are still tons of great people hereAnd I'm sure there are a couple of dozen good people in Vermont as well, maybe even a few thousand good people in Massachusetts. That doesn't negate the fact that these states are solidly "blue," and socially leftist. How old are you? Haven't you witnessed the social and political deterioration of Calif. over the past 15-20 years? That's the perspective I'm coming from. This state, on the whole, is not the place I grew up in.

Expect the hit-pieces and desperate attacks on her character to escalate after she vanquishes what I loosely refer to as her primary opponents.
Do you think that after she wins the primary her own party will do her in for the favor of Bill Nelson.
I've heard of a bunch of folks who are willing to sell out the party to make a point this November and I myself have been one who believes one should make sure they own their house before they begin to renovate but if what you say is true and the GOP don't back her 100% if the folks decide they want her then I will be extremely p*ssed off at Jeb and who ever else turns on the constituency.
I hope it won't happen because the good guys won't look so good anymore.
At least in this aspect.

There may be many Conservatives who dislike the Congressman for her feisty, difficult personality, and some turned off because they have bought the argument circulating that Harris is a polarizing figure that will bring out, in record droves, the DUngheap crowd, and other assorted moonbats. I for one think the moonbats (some masquerading as Conservatives on this site) are coming out for their fellow moonbat, regardless of who is tilting the lance as the GOP Senatorial standard-bearer.
Katherine Harris will win this primary easily, as easily as some think Bill Nelson will coast in the General Election. Conservatives then need to band together, support our primary victor, warts and all, and mount a general election campaign with vigor and enthusiasm. The empty suit is vulnerable if we come together as one. I just reject the idea that the Florida voter will be content to allow a political fait-accompli for one of the most liberal/leftist senators in Florida's history. Come on, Nelson makes "Red Pepper" look like Patton in comparison.

I am 49 years old.....I've witnessed alot in all those years and have lived in Calif all my life....but have visited many countries and 40 states...I agree that politically it has shifted left but there are so many great people, places and things in Calif....I don't dwell in the negative like alot here in FR do...I have a great life as do my friends and family....yes...solidly blue in population on the coasts...but you go anywhere south of Orange....central valley or north of marin away from the coast and it is a "red" state....and except for Alameda, SF, Marin and LA county....and it is not all that extreme and have also witnessed the 1.3 trillion dollar GSP that dwarfs anyone in the nation by double.....it is a great state with some political aberrations for sure....

Harris' campaign released a statement Saturday saying she had been "speaking to a Christian audience, addressing a common misperception that people of faith should not be actively involved in government."
The comments reflected "her deep grounding in Judeo-Christian values," the statement said, adding that Harris had previously supported pro-Israel legislation and legislation recognizing the Holocaust.
