HuffPo Writer Yearns for Terror Attack
The Huffington Post (your one stop shop for the looniest of the moonbatosphere) today features a piece by Russell Shaw wishing for a major terrorist attack on America.
Because it will allow Democrats to regain power: I Hope And Pray We Don’t Get Hit Again-BUT... (Hat tip: Killgore Trout.)
What if another terror attack just before this fall’s elections could save many thousand-times the lives lost?
I start from the premise that there is already a substantial portion of the electorate that tends to vote GOP because they feel that Bush has “kept us safe,” and that the Republicans do a better job combating terrorism.
If an attack occurred just before the elections, I have to think that at least a few of the voters who persist in this “Bush has kept us safe” thinking would realize the fallacy they have been under.
If 5% of the “he’s kept us safe” revise their thinking enough to vote Democrat, well, then, the Dems could recapture the House and the Senate...
Now can we question their humanity?

To be fair most of the comments to this on Huffpo are negative. Of course many who agree may not want to post comments. Consider how many liberals want us to lose the Iraq war.

Sure, the car I would put it on can't be vandalized, or at least not so that I care. It will give me a reason to smack them upside the head if I see them do it though.

The Dems better hope we don't have another "mass casualty incident", because it just might be enough to cause a lot of well-armed American patriots to start settling those accounts.
There is no such thing as treason in this country anymore. If there is, it is ignored and goes unpunished.
Terrorist attacks near election time benefit conservatives, not liberals.
The results of a terrorist attack would be a surge of support for conservative values. To the terrorists’ disadvantage, their methods are like a negative feedback system: more terrorist attacks will lead to more conservatives being elected who in turn will more effectively destroy the terrorists.
This is the same tactic that abortion providers did to own their clinics: they set fires to their clinics and then blamed the pro-life groups and people for "terrorism".
They convinced people through the liberal media's fake reporting that is was the pro-lifers that did it - even though among the protesters were priests, nuns, and pastors - some Christian groups bought the lie that pro-lifers had done it.
You do enough of these "fires" and that is how the F.A.C.E. legislation got passed.
It would not surprise me if Dems "fake a Terrorist attack "just before the election" because they are the same people that did the fake fires at the clinics.
** And no - I do not condone any violence at the clinics! (Especially toward the unborn!) I AM JUST SAYING - IT IS THE SAME MINDSET!
