The purpose of this article was to attack Katherine Harris for expressing her Christian beliefs and to quote others who would support that attack.

The writer succeeded in achieving his goal!

When Katherine gave this interview to the Baptist Witness publication she wasn't concerned about 'political astutemess' anymore that candidate George W. Bush was when he said that 'Jesus Christ changed his life'.

Hmmm...how many ways to reply...

1. She's a candidate for US Senate, perhaps she should've been more concerned.

2. One can hardly claim that comments directed at the political process were not intended to be taken in a political context.

3. Any politician who would suggest that only Christians can lead the nation without legislating sin is either a moron or an anti-Semite. And I say that as a Christian.

George W. Bush was when he said that 'Jesus Christ changed his life'.

And incidentally, President Bush stated that Jesus Christ was the most important philosopher in his life. He didn't go on to claim that this should be a litmus test for elected office.
