3. If you are just a lurker and not a member of FR, you are welcome to send us requests via email at musicrequests4u@gmail.com . Please put *Music Request* in the subject line. If we don't get back to you right away, please don't fret. We'll get there. These threads tend to fly! If you're a FReeper, ping laurenmarlowe or do it via FReepmail. Please help us free up the email for lurkers!

4. Not all music will be appropriate for kids. We welcome families to enjoy the music, but the ULTIMATE RESPONSIBILITY lies with you and not us. If you click on something and are offended, that's on you. We try to provide ample warning, but it's your mouse and decision.

Some of you may know of my ex-wife, Carole .
She had started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started (1975) and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final,later that same year.
Yesterday afternoon, she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting when she was forced to make an emergency landing in Southern Illinos because of bad weather.

Some could call it a crash; an accident at the least. Our kids were with me at the house this weekend.

National Transportation Safety Board officials have issued a preliminary determination citing pilot error contributed to the accident, and Carole was flying a single engine aircraft (a basic model, at best) in IFR (instrument flight rating) conditions while only having obtained a VFR (visual flight rating) rating.

The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on board. No one on the ground was injured.

Photographs below were taken at the scene show the extent of damage to her aircraft.

She was very lucky.

Holy cow Tom, you are BAD. I was reading that with rising panic and with this slow connection I had to wait for the picture to load! I should have KNOWN better than to think you'd post something serious.

BTW, the Cubs just escaped by getting Rolen out with bases loaded. I was bummed!

What's the buzz in Chicago -- these announcers keep talking about whether or not Dusty Baker will be the Cub's coach next year. I didn't know there was any question?!

Yes, Dusty's contract is up at the end of the year, & there's talk of a new manager(as ALWAYS, when the Cubbies are playing bad, the MANAGER gets the axe), but those a$$holes on TV are making a mountain out of a molehill. If you can get WGN RADIO 720 AM where you're at, turn the volume off on the TV, & turn UP the volume on WGN Radio!

That's what I do, as well as MANY CUB fans do!

Good morning My!

I'd forgotten about the James Gang.........a lot of bands from that era disappeared with the advent of Disco and KISS. Mountain, Delaney and Bonnie, Derek and the Dominoes, Emerson, Lake and Palmer ......all split up into new groups. Hard to follow.
