"hear your fish stories"

Fish story # one: last Friday we went fishing and I tied into what I thought at first was a baby whale!! Turns out it was a MONSTER size carp. The encounter ended when the monster straightened out the fishhook! Fought with that thing for 20 minutes!

Fish story # two: went fishing on Thursday by myself and tied into a nice size catfish about 18 or 20 inches long and about 6-8 pounds. Wrestled up to the top of the water and since it was just me and I couldn't manuever the net to haul it in, I just pulled up real hard and flopped it onto the dock. Used my needlenose pliers to get the hook out and then discovered the stringer I had had the small clips instead of big ones. So next option was using the cheapo plastic line stringer that comes with fishing lure kits. Got that out while holding this flopping fish down and got it strung and back in the water. Note: I'm just a little afraid of fish with big mouths and catfish bite! So I'm really quite proud of this catch!

We ate the catfish last nite!

Hello there Kathy in Alaska. Thank you so very much and glad to be of service.

I am a former professional DJ (played mostly in the European milieu if you will, which is a tad different than the stuff played in the States).

I enjoy the Music Canteen tremendously, and I am looking forward every Friday to be part of it at least with suggestions. (whatever pops in my head that I remember been a good song)

I wish I had my Radio music collection...

Anyhow, it is good to see you, MoJo, laurenmarlow and the others doing a superb job. Keep it up, you guys ROCK!
