The subject was Giuliani, and the comment was made, "don't pay attention to him, he brags about living alone in a swamp". It is true, although my daughters family lives on the south half of the homestead, but the inference is that I must be retarded to live here, and all the bright folks live in big cities. This is the very damned arrogance the article discusses. I've seen examples on DU, but now it seems to be creeping in here. I was a loyal Republican before some of these wuesses were out of diapers, still am, but what they are doing has nothing to do with being Republican. I don't have a clue what they are, but Rudy is one of them.
I don't "brag" about living here, don't feel ashamed either. I have enough space for my grandson to have a fullsize football field, a 100 yard rifle range, and room left over, they need to try that, in their Manhattan apartments.
