Be still my heart - the government lied...

When have they ever told the truth?

Yowza!!

The fireworks involve new entitlement spending in the Senate version. The CBO sets the price tag for services for some 16 million new citizens and guest workers at $48.4 billion through fiscal year 2016. That includes $24.5 billion for earned income and child tax credits, $11.7 billion for Medicaid, $5.2 billion for Social Security, $3.7 billion for Medicare, and $2.4 billion for food stamps.

"The amnesty alone will be the largest expansion of the welfare system in the last 25 years," says Robert Rector, a senior analyst at the Heritage Foundation, and a witness at a House Judiciary Committee field hearing in San Diego Aug. 2.

"Welfare costs will begin to hit their peak around 2021, because there are delays in citizenship. The very narrow time horizon [the CBO is] using is misleading," he adds. "If even a small fraction of those who come into the country stay and get on Medicaid, you're looking at costs of $20 billion or $30 billion per year."

The RINOs and Democrats want to stick the Shamnesty costs to Americans. And we would be on the hook for those costs forever. Americans oppose amnesty but that hasn't barred hispandering politicians from both parties from putting their political needs above the country's welfare.

The government estimated there would be one million amnesties in 1986, but it turned out 3 million applied, and of that 2.7 million applications were approved. Three-hundred thousand were denied due to fraud. According to Kris Kobach, who was head of immigration in the Justice Department under A.G. Ashcroft, there was rampant fraud in the ones approved. That is why many believe the estimate of 12.5 million illegal aliens is way too low, with there actually being 30 million in the country.

Here we are simply dealing with costs, which doesn't say one word as to how this will affect future immigration. Does anyone believe for one second this will slow or stop future waves of illegal aliens seeking amnesty? This country does need workers to replace the 45 million Americans who have been aborted, but clearly America would be far better off by increasing the number of EDUCATED LEGAL immigrants we allow into the country. I might add there are millions who applied to immigrate here legally who have been waiting in line overseas for 10 to 30 years, and America would be sticking her thumb in the eye of those trying to obey the rule of law. It would be downright evil to provide rights to lawbreakers over those who respect and appreciate what it means to be an American.
