A three-day sting by federal agents nets suspected sex offenders in the L.A. area.
As part of a crackdown to deport foreign nationals who prey on children, federal agents arrested 25 suspected sex offenders in a three-day sting operation in the Los Angeles area, officials said Thursday.
Eleven of the suspects were found to be living in the Los Angeles area illegally, officials said. The other 14 were legal permanent residents but face deportation for their criminal convictions.
"These pedophiles pose a serious threat to the well-being of our children, our families and our communities," Robert Schoch, special agent-in-charge for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office of investigations in Los Angeles, said in a statement. "We can not only take them off the streets, but we can seek to have them sent out of the country."
Among those arrested was Jose Angel Pakas-Murcia, 46, a Honduran national who had been deported after serving time for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl in Florida. He faces prosecution for felony reentry.
Gabino Chavez-Rosales, a 43-year-old Mexican national with a prior conviction for lewd acts with a minor, also was arrested on suspicion of attempting to kidnap a girl playing in a laundromat parking lot. He faces deportation.
Also taken into custody was Jose Luis Rodriguez-Lucatero, 41, who entered the country illegally from Mexico after his conviction for the attempted rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Why don't we just shoot'em? After a fair trial.
Deport them and they come back in the country & do the same things again because our borders are not secure.
25 less democrat party voters.
Just committing the sex crimes Americans won't commit?
Any person who is in this country illegaly and who is convicted of a felony, any felony, should be deported immediately after he has served his time. The felony conviction should constitute a waiver of any due process rights with regard to the deportation. In effect, he would walk out of jail directly on to a secure means of transportation back to his hme country. And of course the borders need to be secured.
Then what happens to them? They continue their activities back int he countries they came from? We need an "amputate first, deport immediately afterwards" policy for illegal immigrant child molestors.
Actually these vermin need to be executed before deportation
Personally I'm not interested in footing the bill for the prison terms of illegal aliens who commit crimes in the US. We need a different set of penalties for crimes when they are committed by illegal aliens -- harsher, faster, and cheaper.
I definitely agree that illegal aliens should get triple the penalty and sentence when they commit crimes on US soil. The very nerve of these little f$%&*^&* to come to this prosperous nation and proceed to rape and pillage.
Hey at least they're enterprising hard workers. Not like those good for nothin layabout American citizens. /s

LOL!!!
IMO, illegals should get the death penalty for these sorts of crimes. We all know what sending them back does. Otherwise, America will continue to be a 'playground' for these people.
Bttt!
"25 Foreigners Who Allegedly Prey on Children Are Jailed, Face Deportation"
Has anyone ever seen that show "Super Nanny"? Because this just reminds me of when one of the children does something wrong and is put on a "naughty stool." No matter how many times you put them back on the stool, they keep getting off it as soon as the parent turns their back and they go right back to what they were doing. Well something tells me that in this case, the misbehaving child would stop if they were in a time-out with steel bars.
I would love to beat the everyone of those scum to death with a baseball bat. Then spit on their corpses while their family watches.
F'n despicable scumbags.
Illegals are scum
