Wife Runs Over Husband Sleeping In Driveway
Man Says He'd Been Drinking Alcohol
POSTED: 8:44 am EDT August 24, 2006
ROGERS, Ark. -- An Arkansas man who fell asleep in his driveway woke up when his wife came home and turned into the driveway to park the car and ran over him.
Kristine Bolson told the Benton County Sheriff's Office that she drove into her driveway shortly after midnight Tuesday and heard a loud cracking sound. She said that when she got out of her vehicle, she heard moaning and found her husband, Richard Gonzalez, on the ground near her vehicle. Bolson said she did not initially see her husband in the driveway.
A sheriff's reports said Gonzales told them he had been drinking and he must have passed out. He was treated at a hospital for scratches and bruises.
Well I guess they have a pretty good marriage. If she wanted to commit the perfect murder, this would have been the time.
I quess saying that he was "passed out" on the driveway, would not be proper since it would have you believe the quy was drunk.
Hmmm...assuming it's dark after midnight in Arkansas, she must've pulled into the driveway with her headlights off?
Hope these two don't have children. Or pets.
This thread is gonna be a good one....
How could anyone be so unkind...;-).
If people drove in the bathroom, I'd not have made it through college.
Not a chance. No WAY. I have no idea where you'd get so outlandish a notion! ;)
I wonder if he came home drunk and she kicked him out. "I don't care if you sleep in the driveway, you're not coming in here like that!"
Your first sentence reads like the beginning of a poem...
Yah. He'll take his wife along, next time.
"What was the cracking sound?"
Probably the bottle he was still clutching in his arms. :)
On an international note: This is a very common accident in Jamaica and other Caribbean lands, where the natives often catch a few Zs on the carriageway after a hard night out. You see the air gets a little chilly, mon, at 3AM, and the tarmac is still nice and warm.
You can read all about it in my book, "The Yachtsman's Guide to the Comparative Utility of Various Caribbean Natives." $24.79 at booksellers ecerywhere.
Being Kristine's husband, another example of doing the jobs Americans won't do.
Maybe he has wised up and will use a run way next time.
Until they find out that she ran over him six times.
"Cama de Piedra."*
It somehow seems quite appropriate as the background music for this movie.
I've actually done that on a sidewalk. Enough liquor and even a bad of nails gets comfy.
Aw jeez ... before reading the story I was sure that she had 'backed' over him. But nooooo ... she was going forward and could have, theoretically, seen him in the driveway.
