US OKs wider access for Barr 'morning-after' pill
WASHINGTON, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. (BRL.N: Quote, Profile, Research) won U.S. approval to sell its Plan B "morning-after" contraceptive without a prescription to women 18 and older, the company said on Thursday.
Younger girls still need a prescription for Plan B, the company said in a statement. The Plan B pills may prevent pregnancy when taken within 72 hours of sexual intercourse.
That settles it for me.
Thank you. I'm pro-"Plan B".
Plan B doesn't kill a human zygote.
But don't let that get in the way of your rant.
I think contraception is a personal choice.
Killing a human is not.
Do you not understand the difference?
I don't believe the President should play to the ignorance of social conservatives instead of doing what is right.
If they are too stupid to learn the difference between contraception and and abortion, that's their problem.
Maybe it's your ignorance that sees inconsistency where none exists.
And what about rape? Can rape victims have access to Plan B, which is NOT an abortifacient?
You forgot your sarcasm tag.
I'm not quite "pro-plan B."
I believe that the preliminary work has been done, but I'd like more evidence. I'm convinced it doesn't change the rates of pregnancies and abortions to a significant level.

This time I am completely blown away as to why he has supported the Plan B pill. I think, at the minimum, he needs to explain himself and why he chose this decision. I would like to give him a chance to explain himself before I condemn his action. I do not think it will be easy to explain out of this one but I would like to at least hear what he has to say about his reasoning.
Plan B is of course an abortifacient, it destroys life after conception which is when life begins.
The FDA nomination was being held up by Senators Hillary Clinton and Patty Murray and this decision led them to back down.
So this is a White House cave to Hillary, too.
Planned Parenthood is unhappy that minors can't get it but so what older girls can get it for younger ones. This 18-year old rule will be bent and broken worse than the cigarette age limit which is being more strictly enforced.
I think PP is shedding crocodile tears. They got a big step forward in their plans to replace surgical abortions with chemical ones (Plan B).
The White House spins the minors thing, too. They beat their chests that minors will not have access but this abortion inducing drug will now be more easily available than ever before.
It will be very harmful in the next election because the media will spin it so that it looks bad for Bush.....and the presstitutes won't let it die if they can turn pro-lifers voters against the Republicans in any way.

There is no difference, if there is already a human present. Human life begins at conception.
"Life begins at conception. To prevent implantation is to kill an innocent human being.
Wrong, and wrong. Don't flaunt your ignorance."
You have a moral duty to be better informed than that. Shame on you.
Of course life begins at conception. There is no coherent argument for any other position.
"Plan B doesn't kill a human zygote."
Plan B, if conception occurs, kills an innocent human being.
But don't let that stand in the way of your quest for consequence-free depravity.

"And what about rape? Can rape victims have access to Plan B, which is NOT an abortifacient?"
No, they can only have access to Plan B which IS an abortifascient.
Plan B which is not an abortifascient is a myth, like the unicorn.
Oy...your post is just too logical for the fanatics here to grasp.

Not according to latest research.
And this the part where I DON'T make ridiculous assumptions about your sex life.
