Democrat Congressional Nominee Expresses Support for Iraqi "Insurgency"
Daily Kos ^ | Wednesday, August 23, 2006 | Kristinn

Posted on 08/23/2006 7:41:55 PM PDT by kristinn

Jeeni Criscenzo, Democratic Party nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives 49th California District seat currently held by Republican nominee Darrell Issa, wrote in a blog entry earlier this month from Amman, Jordan of her support for the so-called insurgency in Iraq.

Criscenzo went to Amman with leaders of the anti-American group Code Pink and Sixties activist Tom Hayden to conspire with a group of anti-American Iraqi parliamentarians.

On August 6, writing in her campaign Web site blog which is linked on the Daily Kos blog, Criscenzo said, "It is important to distinguish between the militia, or death squads and the resistance, particularly when considering the amnesty aspects of the Reconciliation Plan crafted in Cairo last month. Over 95% of the Iraqi people oppose the presence of the U.S. troops in their country and consider the people the U.S. call "insurgents" to be patriotic freedom fighters -- no different that (sic) how we look at the people who fought in our Revolutionary War. Heroic titles go to the victors and if justice is to ever come to the people of Iraq, the people we call insurgents will have to be recognized as the ones who are actually defending their homeland."

Criscenzo brought a film crew with her to Jordan to film campaign ads on the trip.

"no different that (sic) how..."

Should be different from

Aside from her lousy grammar, she's a moron. She probably learned her politics from the same dumb-me-down public grammar school.

She is running for Congress when she should be arrested for treason.

Its a strange new world we live in since we gave up charging anyone with treason.

Don't blame her too much. She was just reading the Democratic party plan for the Iraq war. But she accidentally read the loud part quiet and the quiet part loud (with the loud part being that they don't have a plan).

In reality the Democrats do have a very concrete plan for the Iraq war: surrender and then pat the terrorists on the back.

It is indeed. Our country made a big mistake when it gave Fonda, Kerry, et al., a pass on their treason during the Vietnam war.

Hey, look what I found... it's Jeeni Criscenzo (rt.) with some of her buds at ImpeachPAC...

Somebody save the pic before ImpeachPAC scrubs it from their site.

What a doll, eh?

I wish nothing but the worst possible things for this woman. If I posted what I feel about this I would certainly get banned and maybe even go to jail. Just because I'm not posting it doesn't mean I'm not thinking it!

Not that it's a bit surprising, but this is an outright lie, and she'll most likely get away with it.

Leftists can say whatever they want and never be called on it by ANYONE in the MSM.

It's nauseating.

"I REALLY didn't need to see that so close to bedtime. Thanks a lot! BTW, what is that hanging down... Oh never mind! :^)"

It was a belly.. I don't know why it was deleted considering all the BEHEADING pictures I've had to see on threads tonight. So fat bellies are obscene and thin bellies are not? I don't get it.

"Its a strange new world we live in since we gave up charging anyone with treason."

So true. We know for sure treason has been committed by various people during this war and nothing has been done. It makes my blood boil!

The current gov't of Iraq was democratically elected. Just what are these "patriotic freedom fighters", these "homeland defenders" planning as their 'government', Ms. Criscenzo...hmmmm?

More from ImpeachPac.org's website...

Criscenzo has already been endorsed by the San Diego Imperial Counties Labor Council, Progressive Democrats of San Diego, Democracy for America Meetup #23 (San Diego), and Progressive Democrats of America (national).

Criscenzo has been a leading opponent of the Iraq War since before the invasion. She organized the Bring Their Buddies Home vigils as a non-confrontational way of showing people the human cost of war.

Her campaign website makes clear her opposition to criminal policies of the Bush regime.

She wrote a blog entry on March 6 [2006], advocating impeachment of Bush and Cheney. Criscenzo has also been campaigning lately wearing an "Impeach Bush" T-shirt.

In her blog, Criscenzo wrote: "If we go back to George Washington, American presidents have attached signing statements to laws a total of 322 times up until this president. George W. Bush has done it 435 times….George W. Bush is a dictator in president's clothing. He and his cabal have raped our Constitution, depleted our treasury, sent our kids to go kill and torture other people's kids for the personal enrichment of his cronies and left the poor people of New Orleans to die or become permanently displaced, conveniently remaking that diverse Democratic city, at one of the centers of the U.S. petrochemical industry, into a white, Republican stronghold.

"The future of our country is balancing on a precarious precipice. The Bush cabal is moving full-speed ahead in their plans to establish the Global Empire of Halliburton…. Our only chance to stop this nightmare is to take back Congress THIS YEAR. That means winning a majority in November AND making impeachment of Bush and Cheney our first priority."

Definitely a bad case of BDS!

"I hope Issa has this information! It's a big plus for him."

Sure is. What a boon that the Dems found a candidate more soft on terrorists than he is.
