The hospitals are closing due to un-funded indigent care.

Texas has had tort reform for the last 3 years.

However, the tort reform problem was focused in counties with a high illegal immigrant population. (I'm still owed for a baby I delivered in 1996. When I last saw the child in 2000, neither she nor her 9 year old sister spoke English or had a Social Security number, although they were in local schools.)

The crop is corn and most of it's harvesting is mechanized.

The point made is that some such as Glenn Beck wish to sick lawyers after farmers whose crime is hiring people to pick their crops.
