Oh, yes! My mother made ham salad for her bridge club, but us kids only got "Jumbo".
And, yes, mixed with Miracle Whip. :-)

My food grinder is in my "staging area" - I can't stand to throw anything out until I'm *sure*. I put stuff in the basement, and if I don't miss it for a year, it goes out.
Maybe my grinder will get a reprieve.

Give it a reprieve I wish I had my mum's but that got thrown out in a move a few years back the new ones do not look as sturdy though I am certain that Lakeland did a retro a couple of years ago so I could probably pick one on on ebay.

As a kid we would use the food grinder on Sunday night to grind up the leftover roast beef from dinner, throw in some pickles, onions add mayo and voila.....dinner sandwich!

I think I gave my mom's grinder to my daughter. I wonder if she still has it. You are right about food processers not being the same.
