A year ago this month, our columnist was booted off the air for claiming that "Islam is a terrorist organization." Was the punishment justified?
One year ago this month, I was fired from my talk radio job by ABC/Disney for saying on the air and in these pages that "Islam is a terrorist organization."
My argument was very simple. Any organization that allows terrorists to operate freely in its name; whose ideology is, rightly or wrongly, used to justify and promote terrorism; and whose membership includes, according to every international poll, hundreds of millions of devotees who support suicide bombing that organization has a unique problem with terrorism.
That's what I said. ABC ordered me to apologize for it. They insisted I perform community service as a form of penance for it. I told them I would never apologize for telling the truth, and they fired me.
One year later, I'm back on the air and I haven't changed a bit.
The problem is, neither has Islam.

The truth truly offends some segments of society. Except for the Waco incident, almost 100% of the terrorists have been Islamic. They have a problem. They will die for their conceit.
I'm not really a graham fan, but this article is dead on.
Off topic:
Let me start by saying that "The Path to 9/11" is one of the best, most intelligent, most pro-American miniseries I've ever seen on TV, and conservatives should support it and promote it as vigorously as possible.
This is the first Hollywood production Ive seen that honestly depicts how the Clinton administration repeatedly bungled the capture of Osama Bin Laden. One astonishing sequence in "The Path to 9/11" shows the CIA and the Northern Alliance surrounding Bin Ladens house in Afghanistan. They're on the verge of capturing Bin Laden, but they need final approval from the Clinton administration in order to go ahead. They phone Clinton, but he and his senior staff refuse to give authorization for the capture of Bin Laden, for fear of political fall-out if the mission should go wrong and civilians are harmed. National Security Adviser Sandy Berger in essence tells the team in Afghanistan that if they want to capture Bin Laden, they'll have to go ahead and do it on their own without any official authorization. That way, their necks will be on the line - and not his. The astonished CIA agent on the ground in Afghanistan repeatedly asks Berger if this is really what the administration wants. Berger refuses to answer, and then finally just hangs up on the agent. The CIA team and the Northern Alliance, just a few feet from capturing Bin Laden, have to abandon the entire mission. Bin Laden and Al Qaeda shortly thereafter bomb the U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, killing over 225 men, women, and children, and wounding over 4000. The episode is a perfect example of Clinton-era irresponsibility and incompetence.

The writer points out that which has been said many times. So called moderate muslims support and condone terrorism either in thought, word, deed, or by silence. Still, those that believe this to be true are chastised, called ill informed, even haters, often here by other FReepers for daring to say so.
Waco had terrorists? Last I heard they just had a bunch of guns. No one had proved they planned to use them.
Am I wrong?
SORRY. I MEANT OKLAHOMA CITY!!!!!!!!!!
Aahh. OK. Thanks for the clarification.
My fingers got ahead of my brain.
Well, yeah--that's a given. I was talking about anti-government terrorists. Not government-sponsored terrorists. ;)
So what about freedom of speech? It's ok to say whatever you want unless you offend our nation's enemies. Yeah, that makes sense. /s
That is EXACTLY correct ... let us NOT forget what liberals do when they are in power
Michael Graham is on 96.9 here in Boston and still shooting from the hip.He was railroaded by ABC\Disney for stating an obvious opinion but that doesn't surprise me because the two things the main stream media are against are truth and freedom of speech !!!
All I can see is if the shoe fits, wear it.
IMO, the so-called "moderate" muslims are not "real" muslims. Any muslim who eschews jihad, and behaves in a generally civilized (i.e. western) manner is not adhering to the religion founded by Muhammed. It would be like comparing a committed Christian to Unitarians or secular humanists.
Islam was founded so that Muhammed could achieve prominence, and later, so that his followers could do so.
LOL, someone here @ FR recently posted- "In the words of the Prophet: 'if the shoe fits, you probably didn't pack enough explosives into it'".
"Waco had terrorists? Last I heard they just had a bunch of guns. No one had proved they planned to use them.
Am I wrong?"
of course. ATF had guns and firebombs and they used them both to kill.
