once the Mexicans take over California, their vision will end I doubt it. The great 'conservatve' Hispanic vote always goes for income redistribution [theft] from the Middle Class, just like the Flower Kids who now have real political power instead of just tie-dyes and Utopian music. The 'vision' won't end until they've driven most most businesses and employers from the state along with folks like me who don't dare turn on the air-conditioning because of artificially high energy prices, thanks to the 'environmentalists' -- including our 'Republican' Governor.

"It's all part of the big plan". Not necessarily. Just the political expression of a value system based on infantile Utopian nonsense. Reality is always in the wings just offstage. It'll make a grand entrance one of these days. Count on it.

Thanks!
I will soon be totally absent from FR for some weeks - moving 2000 miles away and winding up here... Unpleasant but necessary. Scripter and DBeers are doing the Homosexual Agenda list (DBeers is not so active at the moment), and even wagglebee does a pinch hit now and then.

If we don't let Reality in at the door when it knocks, one of these days it'll kick the door in.

Arnold said months ago that he would veto this bill.
But that was the original version, not the current watered-down one.
So, I'm not sure what he'll do now.

And a wise man will change his mind and a fool won't. So, I change my mind and I agree with you. :-)

"The way that you correct a wrong is by outlawing," Nunez said. "'Cause if you don't outlaw it, then people's biases tend to take over and dominate the perspective and the point of view," Nunez was quoted as saying. That doesn't apply to illegal aliens, sodomites or other perverts in California. Their wrongs are protected by perverted leftists that infest the legislature.
There is some room for interpretation when you say you can't teach anything that reflects unfavorably on the protected list of perverts. If in your opinion exposing children to any of that rot is unfavorable, it should be omitted entirely from text books and any in class discussion. Omission is perfectly legal as it doesn't reflect anything about the perverts.

You're spot on again. Another key reason for my relocation to Pocatello, Idaho was the realization that the political demographics are forever shifted to the entitlement minded, low income group of voters. They have the votes to keep electing people who will shaft the productive members of society for their own personal benefit.
I'm hoping that Idaho will remain a shelter from that kind of hideous taxation and wealth distribution for the rest of my life. If not, I'm not averse to voting with my feet again.

He said the bill would make schools "safer." ( from the article)

They have the votes to keep electing people who will shaft the productive members of society for their own personal benefit. Yes, and their political strength increases with every illegal 'voter' who crosses the border. They vote by the many tens of thousands with the help of the Democrats, and the Pubbies who hem and haw and don't do a damned thing to stop it. Ask Bob Dornan.
I'm just sad I was forced by a family situation to move to CA from my home state of ID in the early 1980s. I envy you: I've fished, hunted and prospected most of that country from The Great Salt Lake to West Yellowstone and beyond. I really miss it. Think of me next time you're enjoying one of the most beautiful sunsets on earth.

"But it does say that if somebody wants to say that if Jill and Jill ran up the hill and somehow that's wrong -- then this bill says that that is not acceptable."
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I will post AGAIN:
1) Government schools never were, are not now, and never will be religiously neutral. "Jill and Jill" is a perfect example. The school can not promote and ignore the homosexual issue simultaneously. No matter what course it chooses, the government will be establishing the religious worldview of some while undermining that of others.
2) Government schools always have violated, are now violating, and alway will violate the free speech, free press, free assembly, and free expression First Amendment Rights. The "Jill and Jill" issue is merely one of hundreds of ways that government schools tell parents to shut up and do what the government says.
Government schools are an abomination! The are utterly unconstitutional on both the state and federal levels. The following explains why:
http://www.newswithviews.com/Stuter/stuter9.htm
There is only ONE solution: Begin the process of privatizing universal K-12 education. Let parents, teachers, and principals decide these matters privately. If they did we would see very little of "Jill and Jill". That is why the liberals defend government schooling. They need government schools to push forward their homosexual, atheistic, culture of death agenda. Sensible parents would never allow it otherwise.

The sunsets are indeed beautiful. The fires west of Pocatello have resulted in blood red sunsets through otherwise clear skies over the last week. I have yet to hunt or fish since moving here. I didn't have time to do that when I lived in San Diego. My work hasn't changed, thus my time available has not either. I hope you get an opportunity to return some day.

Thanks. It's beautiful! Too bad the fires are responsible for all that red. (Come to think of it, we have a few sunsets like that right here in Ventura County during fire season -- or arson season as I call it). I recall the long, long Ieaho evenings with sunsets lasting until nearly 10 p.m. in June and July around the Solstice.

Sunset tonight was at 8:19 PM. The sun sets at 9:13 PM from June 21 to July 2nd when the sunsets start coming at at earlier time. The sky stays illuminated for almost an hour after sunset. Really nice. The late sunsets in summer are another reason I moved here. I remember the summer of 1964 when I lived in Federal Way, WA. My parents required me to be home before dark. That was great in the summer, but not so good in December when it was dark 15 minutes after I hopped off the school bus.
I watch the Kp index on a regular basis. It was off the charts one December night in 2005. The aurora was an amazing shimmering green. Rays of green were streaming down like rays of sunshine. "Curtains" of shimmering green danced across the sky. My wife was very impressed. The dark skies are also excellent for meteor showers.
