Only one commercial can top the sheer hatred our readers have for the winner of this year's worst-commercial contest. Yes, only creepy, toenail-snapping Digger the Dermatophyte is more hated than the horrendous repetition that is this year's winning loser, the HeadOn headache remedy commercial.
In case you haven't seen it (you can find it on YouTube, but really, why would you want to?), the commercial is as insanely simple as it is annoying. A female voice repeats "HeadOn: Apply directly to the forehead!" three times as a blissed-out smug woman rolls what appears to be a Bonne Bell LipSmacker on her head.
What in the name of a glue stick in disguise is going on there? First off, does anyone believe that this works any better than, say, rubbing your head with your hand? Who decided that a commercial where only the product name and tagline are repeated over and over was good advertising? What kind of drugs is the model in the ad actually on? And does anyone know anyone who has ever, ever used this product, or seen it for sale anywhere outside these ads?

I like the reality show spoof, Geico Tiny House, too. The gecko remains my all-time favorite though. I have been mighty impressed with the ad agency that does Geico's commercials.
Agree 100%
A few weeks back a FReeper wrote the following:
MOAB.... Apply directly to the terrorist.

I'm still chuckling over that!
Heres another

Interesting........I HATE that commercial; I find it supremely sad. It's basic message is "I cannot stand having my own children around and can't WAIT to shuffle them off to the public school system to get them out of MY hair." Think about that for a minute, just exactly what that means......
I really like the one with all the cats. I love the dancing dog, the cat party while owners are away and surprise them upon returning. Animals in ads always get my attention.
WHAT?
I don't really dislike cats. I have my own cat, a black cat, "Panther", whose mom was Siamese but she partied with a regular black cat and she lives with three parakeets who she doesn't bother and a large Amazon parrot who she doesn't dare bother.
I APOLOGIZE - APPLY DIRECTLY TO FOREHEAD

I keep wondering how someone can go through daily life after being in that commercial.
As long as he gets rid of his condition in under 4 hours everything should be fine.
Yes, I suppose one can take it that way...personally I loved having my boys around during the summer, and was sad to see them return to school..I always had the whole neighborhood group of kids at my house all summer long, and found it to be a fun time...
But that commercial, just strikes a funny note with me...I just found it humorous...

I like cats also. Got 7 at present, as momma cat had kittens 4 months ago. Had 3 birds but the last batch of kittens ate the birds, so we gave up on birds right now.
And malibu Rum!
"I just want a melon."
Ads with Jamaicans ROCK!

I hate that commercial and I hate John Sherer too...Dish Network plays it at least a hundred times everyday on every channel..makes me gag.
There's one for Smashbox cosmetics for QVC that has been running for days in our area 24/7 on all channels. Boy I'd hate to foot that bill. Very, very annoying!
Oh, right! I forgot. Male enhancement. Not erectile dysfunction. I asked my husband how that actor could possibly go out in public after those commercials. He said, "At least everyone knows he's big now." LOL!
The "Little Richard" one is really hysterical:-)
