A Day in the Life of President Bush - (photos) - 8.22.06

After calling President Karzai of Afghanistan to discuss security measures and a potential visit, President Bush left the White House early this afternoon to go to Minnesota. In Minnetonka, he participated in a panel discussion on health care, and also signed an Executive Order to help increase the transparency of America's health care system - empowering Americans to find better value and better care. The order will require various federal agencies to compile information about the quality and price of health care they pay for, and share that information with their customers and each other. The White House website has posted a FACT SHEET about this order.

The President also attended a fundraiser for Minnesota Congressional Candidate, State Senator Michele Bachman after the panel discussion, and stopped for a frozen custard in Wayzata.

Buchanan's been everywhere. He was on Laura this morning.

I don't listen to her much any more. She's gotten really mean about our president.

Sometimes chocolate bunnies don't even make it to the house. Last Easter I ate the ears and head off mine on the way home from the store. It's a good thing it wasn't a long drive.

Never seen that before not sure if I would like it are the tomatoes cooked?

Unless they are very sweet and in a sandwich tomatoes on toasted bread to me should be fried preferably in fat that the bacon is cooked in to pick up the flavour. Just split the tomato in half and shallow fry until just starting to brown.

Me too...........and I'm on a special chemical interaction diet that's really weird.

Oh.......wait just a minute. THIS diet calls for ice cream for dessert, and I just HAD some!!

(And you can lose at least four pounds in three days on it!)

Oh, I've been doing great. Just been pretty busy in the evenings and haven't gotten to read the threads like I would want to. The pictures tonight were just wonderful!

How are you doing?

I know! The bunny looked really scared when I picked up the package. He had reason to be.

The President's right. We live in a McDonald's drive-through, Instant Pudding society.

Wonder what the present media would have done during the 100 years war??

Nope! No cooking. Just let them marinate in the olive oil, garlic, basil, etc. for about 30 minutes and spread on the italian bread toast. I've made a meal of bruschetta, since I love it so much.
