The Missouri Senate race remains one of the closest in the nation. The latest Rasmussen Reports election poll shows Senator Jim Talent (R) with 46% of the vote and Missouri State Auditor Claire McCaskill (D) at 44% (see crosstabs). A month ago, it was McCaskill’s turn to hold a statistically insignificant edge, 45% to 42%.

Factoring in the traditional under polling of Republicans, I'd say Talent has this locked up, despite looking like a wax sculpture of himself.

Yeah but you need to factor in the 3 pt. democratic vote fraud. Could be close.

I'm not sure of the population of St. Louis, but if it's 350,000, you can be sure that the Democrat will get 360,000 votes there.......

This one continues to go down to the wire. Every poll shows the candiates exchanging leads that are always within the margin of error.

East St. Louis is probably without a doubt largely Democrat.

St. Louis population is 51% "African-American", and that's a 2000 Census number. Voter fraud in St. Louis got Carnahan elected, and is very hard to over-come in a Presidential election, state-wide.

Very true, and I remember some hack judge said that night that polls could remain open longer in St. Louis, which was quickly overturned. That judge should have been disbarred for tampering with voting laws.

I agree. I've had Talent off the "endangered" board for some time. Now, only three remain, Santorum (who is really surging---insider polling showed him slashing into Casey's lead in the Philly suburbs), Burns, and Chafee.

On the other hand, Kean dead even in NJ, and Steele (MD) and Kennedy (MN) still close in recent polls, and McGavick in WA and the guy in MI are closing fast.

Her admitted drug use was "in the seventies".

The Feds had a 4 year investigation of her in the mid to late 90's - when she was in the county prosecutor's office.

YouTube video from two separate local news stories.

Between now and Election Day, the Republicans will continue to trend up and the Democrats will continue to trend down. This is the inevitable result when people start to look at the positions held on both sides, and they realize the Republicans have legitimate policies on the War, National Security, Economic Growth and Entitlements, while the Democrats just have a lot of anti-Everything clap-trap.

The know-nothings will continue to believe the Democrats are way ahead, because they won't read or believe any evidence to the contrary. On November the 8th, they're going to be quite shocked at the Republican gains.

The Republicans will be at least Plus 2 in the Senate and Plus 4 in the House. Mark my words.

You must also remember that it was Lacy Clay who went to that Judge and got the result he wanted. I thought that was a tragedy.

I should've known. I've been through St. Louis, and East St. Louis for that matter. :)

It's sort of like Fargo-Moorhead. Hard to distinguish where Fargo ends and Moorhead begins or whether you're in North Dakota or Minnesota. :)
