"Young Israelis dream of being inventors, and their role models are the Israeli innovators who made it to the Nasdaq. Hezbollah youth dream of being martyrs, and their role models are Islamic militants who made it to the Next World."
Thomas Friedman, New York Times, August 9
The act of infanticide, the practice of intentionally causing the death of an infant, is rarely practiced today. Yet in the Middle East, it has taken on a new form. Under the direction of some leading Muslim religious figures, some parents in the region are encouraging their children to commit suicide as a religious act then celebrating it.
Since Sheik Hassan Nasrallah has led Hezbollah, the terrorist organization has put the death of Lebanese children on a pedestal. His Ashura speech of May 1997 praised parents who beseeched Allah to "bless" their children with the honor of martyrdom.
Four months later, Sheik Nasrallah's 18 year-old son became a "martyr" after battling Israeli forces. The Hezbollah leader appeared on Al-Manar TV and thanked Allah for his son's "martyrdom," saying it brought him "the greatest feeling of joy that a father can know."
Many Lebanese Shiites were inspired by his words and to this day they want the same for their children. Sanaa Younes told the San Jose Mercury News on August 3, "He gave his son to Islam. It's what every parent would want."
On July 23, another Shiite mother told the Boston Globe,"We are ready to give our children for Sheik Nasrallah."
Hezbollah begins brainwashing young children to be willing to kill themselves from an early age."Hezbollah," a 1997 book on the terrorist group by a Reuters Middle East correspondent, Hala Jaber, details how the terror organization and its TV channel incite Muslim youth to

I challenged a Muslim I know, who I don't beleive to be radical, that "Islam" actually meant "Submission" not "Peace".
Here is his reply..
"Submission to God actually is the meaning. We live life as we believe God wishes us to.
Of course all the World will be at peace if all follow Shari'ah Law but that is a separate debate."
Brutal as it may seem to Western "PC" sensibilities, directly targeting those who incite and support this sort of action is both the most effective as well as the "cleanest" way to deal with this problem. Let the Imam's know that their own ticket to paradise will be punched when one of their faithful straps on a suicide belt and you'll see a dramatic cooling of rhetoric in short order.
Why not have workers from state and local Health & Human Services (HHS) attend services at local mosques? When they start talking about how wonderful "martyrdom" is, shouldn't that be grounds for removing children on the grounds of endangerment?
Damn, I'm still upset (mildly, now) over following a Muslim woman in full burka on my way to Mass last Sunday. She was driving at a top speed of 15 mph in a 35 mph zone. Her vision had to be impaired--it would be like driving with a Halloween mask on.
Militant Islam is part of the culture of death and it is fitting that we, who have also embraced the culture of death, are presently afflicted by it. It's teachings are the exact opposite of Christianity which teaches that "greater love has no man than that he give up his life for another." In the dark netherworld of Islamic radicalism, you give up your life, not to save another, but to kill another. The diabolical counterfeit of the Christian ideal.
The source of the problem is the radical clerics who preach this trash. It is they who have instigated this orgy of aimless bloodletting and mayhem through their relentless preaching. This new lunacy began almost overnight with Khomeini and his cohorts in the late '70s and it can end the same way if we once more embrace life and God.
Militant Islam is a scourge permitted by God because of our own sinfulness. Do we honestly expect that God will allow us to live in peace and security while we ourselves so savagely persecute the most defenceless of God's children in the womb? They have no security and neither will we until we experience a Christian rebirth and embrace God, life and family once more. Do we somehow believe that our lives are more important to God than theirs?
The answer to Hezbollah and al-Qaeda will not be found in bombs and bullets but in a new birth of Christianity and behind the cross of Jesus. Europe has apostatized and the US is not far behind. As with the Jews of the Old Testament, we've been given over to a barbarian scourge for our unfaithfulness. Hezbollah is the modern equivalent of the Amalekites, the Babylonians and all the rest. The radical clerics who give flower to this hatred will evaporate as quickly as they came, as quickly as the atheistic Soviet empire crumbled when the time of our testing is over and we return to God.
So, so true.
this brings up an old question.. Why do the islamics get so torqued when their children are martyred by somebody else but have ecstasy experiences when they martyr themselves?
"We cannot win against them until they love their children more than they hate us"
So, so true.
Thank you. I was wondering who spoke them. A dear Jewish lady I know has her picture up on her living room wall.
(BTW, I believe her name is spelled Meir)

Yeah, probably the only way he could get the kid to leave the house... Now his wages don't have to pay for the lazy & jobless SOB...
Gives a whole new meaning to the term Baby Boomers.
LOL!!!!
All the more reason. The live guy came by the the name from his family. The dead guy stole it instead of using his real name.
You standing up for the dead guy?
Nope. But since he couldn't do anything about the dead guy, the least he could do is to change his own name to dissociate himself further away from it. At least that's what I would be doing were I in his place.
Baby boomers!! Choke!!! Ha!
Good one!!
