The Catholic Church got in gear and beat it back, but it took a long, long time. All the time they're trying to talk to them. All the while they're trying to negotiate. All the while they're trying to come to a mutual understanding. It's dangerous because these are people that genuinely want to wipe us out, and there's a significant portion of our population that does not realize that. Look it, let me try another analogy with you. Let's say that we're going to negotiate with -- pick a terrorist group -- Al-Qaeda. What's Al-Qaeda's sworn mission? (See, you gotta have courage to admit this, though.)
Al-Qaeda's sworn mission is to kill us. That is the mission of militant Islam. It's to wipe out infidels, and we are the worst of all because we are Christian and we are Western. Okay. We're going to negotiate with these people. Their starting point is: you're dead. "We're not stopping 'til you're dead."
What's our counter? Do we say, "Uh, okay. How about, will you let us live for 50 years?"
"No. We're going to wipe you out in 30."
"Okay, well, uh, will you only take an arm from each of us for the first 50 years?"
"Nope. We're going to kill you all as soon as we can."
"No, no, no, no. That's not fair! We're negotiating with you. Will you settle for two arms and let us live?"
"Nope. Our mission is to kill you, infidel."
"Okay, uh, how about an arm and a leg and let us live for 50 years?"
"No! We are not compromising."
"Okay, how about if you kill half of us, the Republicans? If we give you the Republicans, will you --"
"No! We are going to kill all of you."
My point is, where do you negotiate with this? How do you negotiate with people whose objective is to kill you, Ms. Blumner? I'm sorry. I know it's a hard, cold reality we all have to face here, ladies and gentlemen.
"Well, how about if we let you have the Republicans and Mel Gibson?"
"No, we are going to kill every one of you, and you will be first."
That's how John Kerry would do it. How do you negotiate with that, folks? On what threshold or basis is there reason for any kind of settlement?

It's as if we American were plagued by mutant, virus-carrying tribbles that threatened our existence. Ridding the landscape of mutant, virus-carrying tribbles would doubtless be a messy killing activity, but hey, to be finally rid of those pesky things, we'd probably let our youthful, otherwise less productive males do the dirty work. If we opposed this activity, or callously refused to support the victims of the tribbles, or youth who were helping to rid the community in that fashion, we'd be certain to be ostracized from the community, and ultimately could expect to be treated like the mutant, virus-carrying tribbles, that is, killed. And thus, we'd snatch defeat from the jaws of victory where our side is certain to win.

Look it up Rush, the Muslim Crusades marched forward for 465 years until Pope Urban II preached the First Crusade in 1095, the Crusaders finally retook Jerusalem in 1099.

A few weeks ago the President said "Drive-By Press" instead of "Drive-By Media". He must be altering his schedule a little to when Rush is on:) It would be nice to find out:) And also to watch the kooks react:)

Good to hear this from Rush, but President Bush calling the traitors and sellouts in our own midst "good decent people" and "patriotic Americans" is too much for me.
The libs hate the president no matter what he says and their hate attacks inflame us and then Rush and Shawn etc. counterattack.
What gets lost in the battle of our words and emotions is the need for a real debate about which side we are on led by the President of the United States.
Public opinion is divided and the president's words seem to play to it. Take a stand against the sellouts and mince no words in saying it. Forget the polls and lead then those approval ratings would really go up.
I believe also that there are good human beings who are Muslim. I also know that many of those good human beings who happen to be Muslim HAVE spoken out, and HAVE taken a stand against those who use their religion as an evil tool for terrorism. Unfortunately, there are many who refuse to listen to them, refuse to acknowledge what they are saying against terrorism and Islamic extremists. Those people will only be convinced if every good, Muslim, human being offer themselves up as some sort of sick sacrifice.
I refuse to be associated with people who are Islamafobics. That being said, I support President Bush and the WOT, because HE GETS IT! He understands the difference between "everyday" Muslims, just trying to make ends meet and raise their families, and those who are trying to destroy those same families along with yours and mine.
I'm committing a thought crime as we speak.

Well, then .....let's support the "bad" Muslims (your definition, not mine) and not turn them against us by being hatefilled and just as evil as the terrorists. :)
